    Converter- 67 273/904

In my wife’s ‘67 Cúda, the 904 has the earlier lower count spline. I can’t remember right now what it was. A new converter with the earlier lower spline count isn’t possible. I looked around a lot. What I did do was go to my local race converter builder ( ProTorque | High Performance Drag...

    Intake manifold questions

FWIW, the SP2P 318 was designed for mileage during the gas crunch era. They came in a 2 & 4bbl configuration.

Aftermarket ignition ...do you really need one?

My 2 cents is the multi spark ignitions are mileage helpers down low and can help clean up the insides and reduce emissions. After that, I have found the Chrysler ignitions to be just fine with an upgraded module. When the orange box was a quality unit, it was great for general performance and...

    very mild 360 build.

That’s a drivers cam for sure. Nice pick. Good lift as well. That’s going to idle real nice, be easy to tune up and provide power right from the get go with a bunch of torque, it’s gonna drive real nice. It’ll be good on fuel as well. Better than the other ones listed.

    Holley Strip Dominator.

That would be a quick cash sale for sure for an easy $500. While you could probably charge more if the condition warrants it, that would be your call. I myself am not in it for the money but a fair bargain is all I could ask for. Personally I think people have a lot of nerve selling these...

    920 heads - What Cam?

No matter the cam manufacturer, proper break in procedure is the critical component. Start with making sure the lifters rotate in there bore as you install them and then again when the heads are on and the pushrods installed with the rocker arms. If there not rotating, STOP! Figure out why...

    920 heads - What Cam?

The 904 will require less hp to operate, keep that trans. It’ll save you from headaches. W/the 3.21 gears and stock tires, a cam between 218 & 224 @050 is as larger as I would go duration wise. The 224 would like more stall than stock for sure. 26/2800 or more gear. The 218 will make power to...

    318 intake manifold problems

FWIW, I used an Edelbrock fuel pump on my ‘79 Magnum and an Edelbrock fuel pressure regulator on the fuel injected ‘91 W-150 to dumb down the pressure.

    318 intake manifold problems

Magnum engines; The stock “Beer Keg” intake is a bit high. If your running a carb, a cheap intake that will work well for low to mid rpm is the chink rip off rpm. The Edelbrock is much better but expensive. Get what you pay for.

    920 heads - What Cam?

A cam that will work with your compression, engine size, stall converter, cars weight, gear ratio and tire size to cruise in the rpm range your intending. If you could answer the gear ratio and tire size, I can suggest a cam duration that will work with a stock converter and a car weight of...
