    383 gasser engine build???

You need a flat tappet cam , I prefer Racer Brown or Hughes but the Mopar .557 would work good. Look for some good Adj Rockers used, and get springs from Hughes Engines and and be sure to CC the heads. You need some compression too, even KB pistons would work. The tunnel ram will slow you down...

Need Advice on Low(er) Budget Race Build

---- I think it was 12's and Mopar Action (I think) ,took an Imperial and stripped it (all but 1/2 the grille they couldn't get off) and beat the caddies numbers by like a 1/2 sec.

    Seems a little slow...

I would ditch the pinion snubber, run a long rear shock, put the 650 on ,advance timing to 36-38 total (use good gas)and have someone verify you don't spin! use shoe polish and mark the tire with a line. Also verify your timing! Balancer could be off. Just for giggles put a vacuum gauge on it...

    Input please

904 has smaller internals and lots less friction, If you get a good convertor you can even have more stall and still be ok on the street, I would talk to PTC converters,if your interested, Good product and good price. I would stick to Holley Carbs , my preference or Quick Fuel. I went from a 727...

    340 demon overheating problem

Check your jetting, a lean carb will really raise temps, try fattening it up a little and see.

    Input please

A Holley 650 Hp Dbl Pump and air gap would work great. You really need more converter, and a 904. A good converter and 904 trans would pick you up 6-8 tenths. But then you would be wanting Cal-Tracs and Mono Leafs, and trick shocks and better cam and your in the elevens still looking for...

    coilovers

My Dart is 3000lbs I run Strange dbl adjust. on rear 14 in shock with 110 lb springs, preload springs about 1 in. You need to install shocks in the middle of their travel at ride height so they can work. The lighter spring reacts faster but wears out sooner, if you race much you should expect to...

Need Advice on Low(er) Budget Race Build

Many years ago, I picked up a Duster roller, already tubbed with 1 3/4 fenderwell headers and I had a bunch of "stocker" 440 six-pack stuff laying around, .020 over stock cast pistons, stock rods, stock crank, stock blueprinted 906 heads and used a stock cheater hydraulic stock lift Cam...
