When they say 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inlet or outlet, they are referring to inside diameter. If you were to swedge the tailpipe over the outlet, it would be a very odd size, and you'd have trouble finding a clamp to fit. Your guy probably left the front pipe a little long, then had to shove the...

Make sure you didn't bend the tabs on the tank up when you removed the old one. If you did, lightly tap them back down with a brass punch(so you don't make a spark). Be gentle!

I'm going to try to sneak out of work tomorrow and get there. I need some pieces for my Skylark, and a pass. fender for the Dart. Doubt I'll find them though, it's been going downhill there for the last few years.

Thanks Dartt. I know that the nose will fit, but I'm just looking to do the pass. fender. Car only has 50,000 original, and the fender has the only damage on the whole car. I'd love to change the nose, but I don't have the scratch. Are Duster fenders the same?

This has probably been touched on somewhere on the board, but I can't find the info. Do any other fenders fit a 73 Dart, or are they 73-76 Dart specific? Thanks.

Well, after being a GM guy for most of my life, I've finally come to my senses. Just picked up a 49,000 mile 73 Dart. Original paint, ZERO rust! This looks like the place to be. Hopefully this is the start to a beautiful relationship. Before anyone asks.......I'm from Hopatcong.
