    273 block question

Yeah, there were a few times it could have been caught. It's one of those things that goes in the notes when taking in an engine and it just didn't register until after the fact . The guy gave me a good deal on cleaning and checking the blocks and storing them for free for me so I'm not too...

    273 block question

Interesting, I didn't even think of that. Yes the car, and I'm sure everything in it, had seen some better days. I don't really need it and can probably get a fresher block from someone else on the board. I'll just stow it out of sight for a few weeks and then take it to one of the local...

    273 block question

Hey guys! I started going through the back log of projects and am getting around to my 273 build. I picked up the block from getting it cleaned and checked for cracks and didn't notice what appears to be a huge nick out of the drivers' side deck near cylinder #3. I talked to the machinist...

    273 rebuild

Baxtman, Are you going to go back to a mechanical valvetrain or keep it hydaulic? I'm about to start a 273 rebuild and am just getting the project plan and budget laid out. My project is a '66 Plymouth Belvadere. I know, I know, not an "A" body, but at least I'm keeping it in the family :)

[SOLD] 66 Barracuda barn find in Alabama

Normally I'd grab my cousin for the road trip and just bring it back, but I'm going to have to talk to the Mrs. about it. I've promised her new tile in the kitchen and the bathrooms by the end of January.

    1966 Plymouth Barracuda prices...

Thanks to all those that have posted. After spending about 9 hours reading other threads on here related to various Cuda's, I've passed on this one at this price. Sure it'd be nice to have and fun to work on, but not at that price. Heck, this is a C-Body buy used to getting complete big block...

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, this site has been a wealth of information already. I've read about 40 different threads on build ups and resto jobs that I'm glad I found. As for the A-Body, I'm still looking for the right one for me. The one I had in mind turned out to not be so good a deal...

    383 B vs 383 RB???

The RB blocks had a little bit higher deck height and a longer stroke.

    1966 Plymouth Barracuda prices...

Thanks for the info guys, much appreciate the quick responses. I was thinking the same thing on the price, but didn't know if that back glass was worth it. From what I've read, that sucker is a beast and is HUGE! And I thought the back glass on my 76 Chrysler New Yorker was big! hahaha. I...

    1966 Plymouth Barracuda prices...

Evening folks. I've been reading all the threads on 1966 Cuda's here and am stoked about what I see! I found one here sitting behind an old auto shop and unsure if the price is set right. The cuda in question has a slant six mated to the original auto transmission (904?), all the glass...

Hello folks! I've actually been on here before, only to raid another members parts bin for my C-Body :) Anyway, I've been on here a lot recently because I've been looking at sliding down the alphabet to an A body car; a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda to be exact. I've read a lot of the resto posts...
