that sounds weird the bolt on the back of the oil pump that holds the pressure spring lol

im 99.999 % sure its a steel crank ,no weights on balancer and no weights on converter flex plate has no weight or notchif that sounds correct ?. headers have been hitting u can c in pics i shimed motor up so they wont hit but the oil pump bolt for the spring is barley rubbing on k frame not...

the timing marks are pretty stable at idle just total is what im havin issues with. where would i find a brass feeler gauge and what would i notice if that gap is wrong?

i dont feel it idling but it has a healthy cam .by moving mounts around i can get it to change but it never goes away its more so 1500 to 2500 rpm

wont the solid mounts cause alot of vibration too? lol and the tie is just holding a rubber sleeve so the hose dosent rub frame.thanks it does look funny in the pic

filter has good clearance how far back can i trim for the oil pomp before i have to worry about motormount hole. i would say there is only like 1/2" already. the metal is thick but just not sure if i need to worry.the only place its touching is the bolt for the oil pump spring

i run 91 octane . is all we have from pump but it really likes when i feed it 100 octane.i know it will like more timing if i can keep it from detonating

i had it on the dyno last week .a shop in town just got it . it was 388hp and 525 tq to the wheels . but the dyno rpm and car rpm were 1300rmp off so i thimk he did it wrong? hp and tq never droped off it went strait to peak and stayed there so im trying to figure out tune .thank you for the info

im running 15 36 right now .seems to idle low and if i try to get more idle from carb it throws things outa wack .if i turn timing up it idles better . the car is pretty loud but i dont hear any detonation .im just learning about dist curves . its a mp dizzy

not sure what the mounts are .looks like k frame was modified for mounts and oil pump notch . there is a nice bracket for torque strap but there was a chain on it lol.motor was a pain to get in strait and get headers off body and pointers ?

i changed alot just curious how it started i have done motor twice . i over reved it first time floated valves . bought solid roller cam and had wrong lifters in it so i had oil press issues .everything but cam rockers heads and carb is the same.

do you remember anything about the motor ? its a forged crank trw pop up pistons .906 heads right? he might of changed leaf springs but not sure what they are look like super stocks but car sits really low .
