Thanks for all the help. Sounds like with shock plates, U bolts, another drive shaft and any A body 8 3/4 I’d be all set. Now just got to find all that stuff.

Sounds pretty doable. Don’t want to cut the original drive shaft so need to find one of those as well. Car has a 340 and 4 speed in it right now.

Anyone ever do this swap on a 64 Barracuda? What other year A body rears would fit? I know I would need another drive shaft as well. Just wondering what I would be getting myself into. Don’t have any of the parts yet to do this. Thoughts? Thanks !!

A56. I do have my engine compartment top of inner fender tag. The two screws I’m referencing are located at the front section of the LH inner door frame. They are located above the dome light switch. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks. So the two screws would hold this? I’m thinking maybe tire info would go on the door frame closest to the rear.

The bottom pic that’s kinda sideways shows the inner and outer door frame. Those are the areas I’m curious about.

Does make sense the front bench would have the previsions for headrests instead of having 2 different style frames. From previous projects I know the 68/9 headrests are the same.

My 68 Fastback came with and still has its original bench seat with fold down arm rest in the center but no head rests. Feeling across the top of the seat I can't feel any revision areas to install them so I assume I would need to replace the seat to add the headrest option. Is this true? Would...

I had 295 50's on my 69 Formula S in the Avatar but I had to use spacers and long studs to accomplish that. Also put Hemi springs on it so it sat really nice. Trying to use all stock stuff will be a different animal. This 68 I have is very original and I want to go back to the stock setup...

I’ve been thinking about going 255s just to make sure they stay inside the wheel well. I have air shocks on now but have experience with air shocks failing on my wedding day 42 years ago and eating the edges of the rear tires up on my Roadrunner.

Thanks. I also talked to a Cragar Engineer and he pretty much made the same recommendation but With the 1/2-20 lug nuts. Ordered them this morning from Summit.
