    Viper Barracuda

I've just heard that the conversion wtih the computer is easier with the Gen 3. I can also get one for about $1K more than the Gen 2 but the extra 50hp, the cool intake, and lower mileage is worth it.

WOW! you really are doing your homework. I'm going with the AJE suspension for mine. Having no torsion bars will really help with the room. i should end up with the Mustang II brakes. I can get up to 13" rotors and go as crazy as I want with the calipers. Neat to have the ABS though. On...

    Viper Barracuda

It's going to have to be the 8.3. The 8.4 is too far out of my budget. The 8.3 I posted a link to is the best deal I've found. If anyone finds a better one with transmission, let me know.

The turbos are in a little higher budget than what I have. All my funds are coming from a lot of hours at the powerhouse. Just happy to have the wifes blessing.

    Viper Barracuda

This was a weird car from the start. It was advertised as a 69 on craigslist and when I got it home I noticed the 68 fenders. Referenced the VIN and it is a 68. The paperwork was a booger but got it straightened out with the state of Texas. Any good resources to show me the difference in 67...

As promised those pictures are attached. The plan will be to install a 3rd generation Viper V10 Engine in my 68 Barracuda. I know this is going to be a ton of work but I want to do this right. I have all the measurements and weights and know this is do-able and will still be able to drive...

Viper engine and transmission in my 1974 Dart Swinger

Hey guys, been working a lot at the power plant and trying to save monry for that Viper engine. I decided that I'm 100% in to build this car with the 3rd gen 500hp with the 6 speed. I've got a lot of the number and dimensions together and decided that without even cutting into anything I will...

Viper engine and transmission in my 1974 Dart Swinger

I am really putting a lot of thought into this build as well. i just brought my 68 cuda home and it looks so wide open in the engine bay with the 318. Besides, a 500hp build on a 340 and converting my car to a 4 speed would probably run me $6k and a viper $7k-$8k. I think it's worth the...

    fiberglass instrument cluster

Well the title says it. I'm looking for an aftermarket fiberglass instrrument panel that takes place of the original for my 68 barracuda notchback. I really want to cut my own holes and put in some digital or other really nice autometer gauges. Any help would be great. I would also sell my...

    Finding the right 833

I know this has been beat to death, it just seems I can't find the right threads. Is there a surefire way to id an 833 tranny that will fit in soon-to-be-mine cuda. Its a 68 Formula 340 S. I really don't want 6 transmissions in order to det one that fits. I will be getting everything pretty...

Kinda new to A-bodies. Will that 833 fit a 68 cuda? Maybe a differnet bracket or two.

Hey everybody, getting into the "A" game

Yeah I think I have that deal that I was looking for. The car that is 8 hours away is an actual 340 formula S. I talked to the guy again and it sounds straight. He said it's a full roller. Just needs a nice 340 to put in and a good tranny. He wants 2K. I found a friend down there and if his...

Hey everybody, getting into the "A" game

Hey everybody, I'm a natural gas compressor mechanic from the southwest. I have always loved the A-Body Mopars and had never really looked into the early cuda til now. I saw a 68 Formula S Fastback last week and I fell in love. I'm determined to get one in the next month. I found one via...
