Normal? Not normal?
Hi, I have a problem with my power steering. When I turn the wheels ether way out and want to start turning back, then the steering just freezes for a sec.It unfreezes just before I hit a curb. Its been to many close calls, so I really don't want to drive anymore.
What might be the problem...
This carb was pretty much installed before I bought the car, less than 200 miles used so far.Comes with the #1489 calibration kit.I bought a Holley dp and don't need it anymore. This carb is around $300 new and calibration kit is around $45.I'm asking $250 for both.
That's someones picture I found in this forum. Yes I already have the A bracket, but I have the wrong trans arm, now I need to find that F arm from somewhere and hope it fixes the problem. Thanks everyone!
Are you sure that the welded arm is correct one? Part number indicates a dual gate shifter arm?
I think that the correct one should be # 1058564 like my manual says?

Nobody else has a promatic 2 shifter? I need to know if I have the right shift selector arm.
I can't adjust it like this when in all gears
it will be like this
or this way
So is that welded shift selector arm right one that comes with the kit?
I bought a '68 Charger with a Hurst promatic 2 shifter installed.Problem is that I have to move the shifter twice to get it into 2nd gear and I have to pull it up to get it in to neutral.
Stock mopar, chebby, phord and mopar level. It has the welded one on.Is that the correct level that comes...
Haven't driven it on the open road much, but with the flowbasters, I think most people will look. Not many, about 30(mopar muscle cars) or so I guess. Some have gone to Finland or some other countrys.Mostly newer American cars, trucks and van's here.
Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks! I bought it from a police officer in New Jersey last fall. He's mechanic who built it did some crappy things and they are not friends anymore. He decided to sell the car and get a new one someday - one that dosen't need that much work.
Yesterday I drove the car...
I'm from Estonia, been lurking for a while and decided to finally register.I don't have a A-body myself, but I have a '68 Charger.Love checking out the members resto section-awesome rides!
Been looking this horn button for my Charger BTW...
