Can anyone tell me if a 6" or 7" magnum 500 will fit front of 72 Swinger with 225/60/15 tire ?

On a 72 Swinger,with 73 disc brakes with BBP,will a 225/60/15 tire fit on front of car with a magnum 500 wheel that is 6" wide with 4" backspace, or would it be better to run a 7" wheel with 4 1/4" B.S. ?

I've been waiting on pillar seals for 72 swinger for 6 months.Finally arrived yesterday from year one. No fit. Looked up the number and they are supposed to fit 68 thru 70 A bodies (steele rubber products).They don't show any for 72 swinger.Anyone know where these are available ?

When these extensions are installed,is there any kind of sealent or gasket involved ? Do you just paint the flange before installation ?

I've just about finished with drive train on this 72 swinger. 340,727,8 1/4 installed.Drive shaft had to be shortened. Now with car sitting on the ground,everthing buttoned up,there is 2" of the front slip yoke shaft exposed. Can anyone tell me if too much was cut off or will this work ? Thanks !

72 Swinger,out-318,904, and 7 1/4 ,in-340,727, and 8 1/4. new slip yoke. I had the drive shaft shortened. Now with everything buttoned up,there is 2" of the slip yoke shaft exposed with car sitting on ground. Anyone know if that is too much ?

I'm working on a 72 Swinger, trying to get the body ready for paint.Naturally there are dents in some of the body lines.Can anyone give me any pointers on working filler along these lines ?

Just installed rebuilt 727 behind a 340 in 72 swinger.I failed to fill T.C. before installation.A friend told me to remove flexplate bolts,pour fluid into tranny,and spin the T.C.by hand to load it up.Anyone heard of this ? Should it be in neutral during spin ?

1972 Swinger,pulled 318 with a.c and 904 out,went in with 340, 727, no air.I've seen pictures of some with the heater hoses going through this vac. actuated diaphram,and some with hoses mounted directly to heater core. Whats the difference ?Thanks for any help.

I,ve got conflicting instructions for installing 69 340 hyd. rocker shafts.Small block book by Don Taylor says to put notch down and to front on driver side,and notch down and to rear on passenger side.Another book says both notches down and to the front. Anyone ?

340 exhaust manifolds are hard to find and even more expensive.I've got a pair of 360 manifods from a big 76 Dodge car. Wouldn't they perform better than 318 manifolds on a 72 Swinger with a 69 340 ?

Just got the cast iron heads on,ready for eddy alum intake on the 69 340.There are 2 types of intake gaskets with victor-reinz set, one metal ,one composition. Anyone know if either of these will work with the alum. intake ?

Gentlemen please bare with me , this is my first small block rebuild. I'm about to install heads on the 69 340,(factory cast iron ). Gasket set from victor-reinz(Dana).I'm not sure if teflon or not. Gaskets are sort of grey color, part no. 5813G. Anyone know if I should use gasket sealer ?
