I have the QuickTime Blow-shield. Wayyyyyy lighter AND smaller than the Lakewood. I have a big block in my 72 Dart with a 4 speed and hydraulic throwout bearing. I absolutely HATE the hydraulic clutch, and will be going back to the factory clutch linkage this winter.

I put them on with the engine in. I did have to jack the engine up, but no major issues. I Have a Gerst Tubular front end with a manual rack.

I used #400SR-218. My car is a 72 Dart with a stroked 400" to 470", Edelbrock heads, 4spd, close to 600hp, etc. No problems, they fit great.

I agree, but when you have to modify the car to fit the aftermarket body part, THAT'S a problem. That's just my opinion.

They have no interest in changing the spacing, that's the same conclusion i came to. But they make these hoods to order, or that's what they told me. So why couldn't they slip the correct nut plate in there for the application that the hood was ordered for?

I bought a six pack hood from AAR/Stinger late last year. The quality of the hood seemed decent, except the bolt holes were off. They agreed to take it back and (i thought), fix that issue. But instead when they got the hood back, they refunded my money. They said that they have never had any...

I'm hoping that someone could help me out. I'm having an issue fitting an aftermarket hood. Could someone measure the center to center distance of the hinge to hood mounting holes on a 70-72 Dart? Thanks in advance, Kerry
