i switched the ignition key switch to a lil switch under the dash and it fired up thanks for the help guys

I was just looking at the coil and i dont seem to have power at the negative side of the coil Could someone tell me why this is?

Im not home right now but i will put some pictures up in a couple hours and i got a new ignition control and it only has four of the prongs when theres 5 wire holes

it is an 83 motor so it is an electric distributor and if i do that i still do not get spark from the coil

i am looking at it right now and as i leave the key on the coil gets very hot

I have a 73 plymouth scamp with a 83 318 i have power to the coil but i don't have spark from that or the distributor. I replaced the cap and rotor and the coil but it still will not start. It was working a couple months earlier.

I looked at my distributor and it does not have a vaccuum advance it is an electric preset one. Also where would i be able to find a set of 302 swirl port heads?

I guess its not all stock lol:newb: But i was wondering what kind of heads and cam i should get with the stock pistons. I've seen people saying that 360 heads make it a dog off the line and others say its great. So if you guys could give me any ideas that be great:prayer: thanks -chris

sorry once again i am new to this just trying to know what i can do but to do the advance curve how do i find out what mine is currently at?

My dad and i already timed it we have a brand new distrubitor, spark plugs, coil, solenoid, and starter. Our distributor also does not have vacuum advance.

i have a 340 cam in it and an iron intake 4 barrel. The heads are headman headers and the heads are stock 318 heads. I also am not sure how to re curve the distributor

I'd like to know what cam that was and will an aluminum intake make a big difference? I've got a 600 holley on it now. I want to try to make if fast and torque but still be alright driving on the highway.

i have headers and a good exhaust with thrust mufflers. Right now i don't have the money for a 360 and i drive the car on the street everyday.
