The front cowl I guess its called. The panel right under the windshield and behind the hood that looks a cheese grater. Can I cut that out and weld in a smooth piece or does this cause any problems?

Yes it has the 4 piston Kelsey hayes calipers. Car has been painted numerous times. Not an original panel on the car as we found out because we are down to metal now in the restoration process.

It does start with that but my concern is someone just swapped out the dash and its a clone. None of the interior has GTS badging either.
