well I actually had to pull the pistons and rods from the block last night. Turns out the guy before me put the rods in the wrong holes. Chamfers on the rods weren't facing the right direction. Oh well everything went well last night and it's back together.

Update. So after finding a bunch of grit and grime in the engine I decided to pull it completely apart and thoroughly clean everything. Also needed to check the ring gaps to verify everything was good there. Found the cam bearings were a little worn so I decided to replace those as well...

I have some UCA's and spindles from a 71 Demon that was originally a /6 wheel drum small bolt pattern car. You will most likely need new ball joints and bushings for the arms though. Spindles look nice.

Oh I also picked up a wood lathe with a few Harbor Freight coupons and made a shift knob for my DD (Saturn Ion 04). It's a fun new toy that I plan on making a bunch more knobs and projects. Thought you guys might enjoy it. Just another rabbit hole hobby for me to go down.
