I'm looking for a used bottom cushion seat foam for a 1973 A body bucket seat. Maybe even a lower seat frame for the same thing car.

The cushion that came with the seat is ruined due to cats peeing on it for years. Also the frame ...is still ok to use but would prefer a better one. I DO NOT need the tracks. I know where to get new foam but they will only sell in pairs. I only need one. Thanks everyone.

    Low ratio steering boxes

Loose steering box bolts was the problem. They were all loose by about 2 turns! Tightened them up and ....bingo! Back to normal! Thank you everyone for your input!!!!!

    Low ratio steering boxes

Update!!! I had to move my car out so I thought I'd just do a quick check on the steering box bolts....LOOSE! I had the car running and grabbed the steering shaft by hand and turned it...the steering box was moving around! Haven't fixed anything yet but at least i know what the problem is...

    Low ratio steering boxes

I got this car a few years ago from a little ol' lady ( original owner) and only 72K miles on it so I know nothing has been replaced in the front end. I DID put new torsion bars and converted it to '73 and up front disc brakes but that's all that's new. When I start digging into it I'll be...

    Low ratio steering boxes

It has new radials and was aligned by a guy that does all the hotrod stuff in the area. He for sure knows what he's doing.

    Low ratio steering boxes

I haven't gotten a chance to look into anything but that's one thing that's on my list when I do.

    Low ratio steering boxes

Thank you for that! Good to know. I'll be checking components for condition this weekend or next...when time allows. The car is parked until then!

    Low ratio steering boxes

When I bought all the parts I did order the earlier parts kit so I think I'm good on the strut rods but thank you for the info. I had no idea!!

    Low ratio steering boxes

No front sway bar and new tires. I'll check the brand. There must be some slop in there somewhere so when I get some time I'm gonna track it all down.

    Low ratio steering boxes

Yeah, I think it's time to start looking at worn parts now from what everyone has said. Thank you.

    Low ratio steering boxes

I did convert the car to '73 and up disc brakes and put in heavy duty torsion bars. I used the original lower arms though but I think that's ok. Both of those were HUGE improvements! Now that I know I already have a LR box I'll be looking into worn parts and on.

    Low ratio steering boxes

Thanks for that. I was wondering what is considered a low ratio box.

    Low ratio steering boxes

When I turn the steering wheel it seems like I have to turn it quite a bit before anything happens but when it does it seems to be pretty quick. There seems to be a delay in the steering response in other words. The car will go straight for long stretches if I take my hands off of the steering...

    Low ratio steering boxes

Hello everyone. It's been awhile! Anyway, the steering on my '70 slant six duster is scary! The car has 80,000 miles on it. I had it aligned about 3 years ago but haven't driven it much. The guy who did the job said everything looked good as far as the components go. The car drives VERY...

You're welcome. If you have any other questions please ask. I feel like I'm an expert now having dealt with all the problems.

keep or sell original single barrel intake

I'm using the same throttle cable that was used for the one barrel. It has a little bit of a bend to it but it works smoothly. I thing one from 318 2-barrel is the correct one.

keep or sell original single barrel intake

I found a NEW carb that is actually the proper one for a super. I looked for import markings and all that crap that would tell me where it was from but couldn't find anything. It looks like a NOS carb! I had my doubts about its functioning but it fired right up and has worked great ever since...

keep or sell original single barrel intake

I had a vintage CZ dirt bike and was always looking for and holding on to spare parts. I sold the bike and all the parts and was relieved to see extra space in the garage. I know someone who wants the parts but haven't confirmed the deal yet. I think I'll sit on the parts for another month or so...

keep or sell original single barrel intake

I have recently done a super six conversion on my '70 duster. It works great I might add! I have no intention of going back to the original intake system. The "super" is exactly that! So, I got the car from the original owner couple of years ago...69,000 miles! It's original except for some...

Stock 1970 340 Duster front tire size

Thank you for the info. The rims are 6 inches wide so I think the 205/70's will work well. Yeah, I wasn't sure about the 215's...too tall. Thanks again for everyone's help here!

Stock 1970 340 Duster front tire size

Thank you. I think I want something with a little more tread on the ground than a 185. I'm leaning toward 205/70/14's. The rims are 6 inches wide so I think the 205's will fit those pretty well.

Stock 1970 340 Duster front tire size

Hello everyone. I'm looking for front tires for my '70 Duster. I have 195/65/14's right now that I don't like. They don't look right on the car. I gottem because they were FREE! Anyway, Should I get 205/70/14's or 215/70/14's? I have some really nice polished US slots on the car so don't want...

    slant six distributor o rings

Hello everyone! I got hold of an NOS Mopar Performance electronic ignition system and am finally getting around to installing it. The distributor only came with one o ring...the bigger one than goes right under the mounting plate. I'm looking for the one that goes around the housing that fits...

[WANTED] Clifford research aluminum valve cover for slant six

Thank you letting me know but I did find a new offy aluminum cover that I am working on. These things take a little work to get them to fit and work properly. I'm waiting for a couple grommets and that will do it! However...if the one on SS wasn't dented..I'd probably buy it anyway!!
