Gotta pick up a few #10 flat washers tomorrow, but aside from that I think I'm done with the lockout of the standard electronic distributor... Even managed to use the old tag that was on the distributor along with some more JB Weld to cover the hole left after removing the vacuum advance...

Looking good... I didn't even pull the head off because I knew if I did that I'd end up tearing the entire thing down to nothing and rebuilding it all... I have a hard time drawing a line in the sand and not crossing it...lol... it was running well and compression tested well before I started...

Same as what I'm doing with my project. The inside of the motor is dirtier than I'd like, but just figuring on getting it running and driving and will worry about rebuilding the block/head portion later. Keep up the good work and updates!

Managed to get the old fuel tank and lines out of the car without catching the house on fire, so thats a win. Tried to get this beauty installed, but was lacking enough hands to hold it up and get the new straps bent and hardware connected. Will wait a few days until my son is here again and...

Finished the manual steering conversion this morning. Went with the 20:1 box from Mancini.... This wasn't a terrible job at all, but I did end up having to tear apart the coupler and rebuild it and clean the column shaft under it as it just simply wouldn't slide hardly at all... now that it is...

I'd stay with manual steering myself. The swap I mentioned earlier had power steering on the 225 so I left it in for the 360... don't remember what the exhaust manifolds were off of, but I had a lot of issues with those hitting the PS Gearbox. Ended up using a turnbuckle to make a torque strap...

Also regarding engine and engine bay cleaning, I recently did same. For the engine, I used the Gunk Brand GEL Engine degreaser.... Did it once and it took off a lot, then spent some time with a scraper and wire brush to scrape off some heavier areas, and then did the gel again... worked well and...

I'd definitely do suspension. I did a similar swap with a 72 Swinger I had back in the late 90's... It was a great driving car until I swapped out the 225 for a freshly rebuilt 360... The 360 ran fine, but the car never drove right after that as far as handling/stopping... I was only about 20...

Probably gonna get one of the fancy valve covers, so didn't put any effort into that part. But at least the engine is one color now. Currently fighting trying to get the steering coupler to slide down onto the MP Power to Manual steering conversion adapter... nothing is ever easy...lol...
