Its been a while since Ive posted any progress on the 71. But with having a hip replacement last year. Then having gallbladder surgery 3 months ago, its been hard to get motivated to go out to the garage. However the past few evenings I've felt the need to get back to it.

Looking for a set of interior door handle bezels/cups for our 71 Duster. Color dosen't matter. Never Mind I figured it out.

Finally got it.. with a little help from my brother, and along screw driver to keep it from jamming up as it was feed through.

Im still having troubles even getting the cable portion through.. what was your secret there. I keep hitting a spot where the cable just wont move.. even tried fishing it through.. Damn I hope i dont have to remove a ton of stuff to get in there..

We also have a bit of a Ford collection here. Ive also got a 64 fairlane 500 sports coupe sitting next to the 71

I know where the cable goes through the torsion bar crossmember, on our 71 Duster. However, I'm a bit lost as to how it runs from the firewall to the crossmember. Any photos or farther explanation would be very helpful and appreciated.

Its a 71 Duster 340 4/speed car

I just had my 3 speed wiper motor gone through. When i got it back the main body plug had 4 pins instead of the 6 it had. I understand that one of the pins is suppose to be for the back up wiring. However, the 6th pin with a brownish wire had been cut and I'm not sure what it's suppose to...

Shouldn't the 71's have a full cloth headliner?, where as the 72 and up have the filler boards.

Well after spending several months recovering from hip surgery it was time to get back out in the garage and start working once again on the 71. I was spending the past few evenings getting the old rear body panel removed and getting the new one ready to install

Working on cleaning up our center console for our Duster. What Im looking for is the slide guides for the lid to the ashtray lid. Any body have an idea where to find them or what solutions have people used. One of them on ours was brittle and just fell apart .

Yep it is a real 340, 4speed, even has the 8 3/4 with 3.91's rally pack, and shark tooth grille. We got it from Mike's Antique Auto Parts, before he sold his property.
