'67 had VIN on pillar, '69 on dash frame; so maybe they swapped the dash itself.

    1969 Valiant Diary

That looks like a '69 dash frame. And those look like '69 fenders? The damage you are referring to, is it just the header panel and radiator support? Does it look like the inner fenders have been replaced?

1969 Race Dart w/ 426 Hemi- garaged for 45+ years

I remember sitting inside my engine bay working on my '58 Apache 235 six. Yeah... not a V8 A-body thing, much less 440 or the 426 for sure.

    74 Dart 360 Sport

What does that one look like, curious. I assume you will adapt the console or build one for it. I have a 2005 1500 with an Ecodiesel and the 8 speed auto. It has the rotary knob shifter with the +/- buttons on the steering wheel. I like the idea of the shifter, but would have been cool with...

Have you already purchased the controller? I have read good reviews about the TurboLamik from guys using them as standalone controllers swapping into other cars. It requires modification to the valve body.

    My 1969 1/2 440 ‘cuda

I have also heard that convertibles got them. I have also heard stories, especially on E bodies, where it is all over the place, like some cars had them rear, some both, some missing one...

    1969 Valiant Diary

Do you want to have to hold on to the steering wheel to take turns or do you want a "proper" seat? Bench is fine for straight line or cruising w/ your girl, but otherwise not so. Honestly, have not made my final decision on that topic, but need to soon. Either way do the frame connectors and...

    1969 Valiant Diary

What do you want the car to do? Daily driver? Economical? Race car? Autocross track or 1/4 mile? GT car / Pro Touring? Stock bench, stock style buckets, race seats? Stay with a Valiant dash, something custom, or Rallye dash like the Barracudas?

    New to Me 1968

the 318 was never built as a performance engine. the heads were the limiter, it did not get the 2.02 valve heads the 340 came with. smaller cam and a little 2bbl. 727 is heavy duty, and heavier than the 904. I like A&A transmissions if you want to have something built. Home - A&A...

    New to Me 1968

    318 and 340 have same stroke at 3.31” A 318 has a 3.91” bore, and 340 has a 4.04” bore. That is a difference of 0.130”. You can’t bore a 318 that far. A “30 over” 318 is only 323ci. A popular combo is the 0.030” over 318 with a 4” crank. That is 390ci. Even better is a 0.030” 340 block...

1968 Barracuda Notch - Plano, TX

I figured out why I was having trouble getting the ZEVO bulbs to work. The spring clips in the socket were not grabbing the bulb properly. I used a plastic tool to bend them inward a bit and the LED bulbs then took some effort to push in and they work perfectly now. left to right the white...

To Sell or Part Out my 68 Formula S Barracuda?

#1 the day it arrived at the dealer, #2 a few days off the lot. #3 is pretty broad, but a clean driver with appropriate wear would be my take on it. Probably a lot of judgement goes into making the distinctions when it is a 1 vs 2, or 2 vs 3, or 3 vs a 4. #5 is a parts car... this is the way...

1968 Barracuda Notch - Plano, TX

Bench tested cluster lights and gauges voltage input @ 13.4 Volts to test the voltmeter, various resistors to simulate sending units for oil, fuel, and water. The stock style bulbs did not put out much light. Since the lenses are blue I opted for blue LED bulbs. Tested between 5 and 13.5...

To Sell or Part Out my 68 Formula S Barracuda?

I did the glass 7” H4 E-code conversion in 2006 with a relay setup. HUGE difference over stock style and made driving at night much easier. Bought them from “Daniel Stern Lighting”.

1968 Barracuda Notch - Plano, TX

AC, tensioner, and alternator sorted out. Tensioner is for a "2003 F150 4.2L V6" Belt I wanted was for a Porsche 911 or a BMW M3; local store did not have it, but the 10mm (3/8") longer belt for a 2023 Stingray was in stock so I went with that option. Alternator is for 1997-1998 Dodge pickup.
