Can someone ID this.. restoring 71 Demon..

Ya I bag everything in a restoration, printed labels with corresponding pg numbers to the assembly manual(s). If I restore something its frame off all bolts wheeled/treated replaced if needed. I have a spot where I put things if I get interrupted or have to leave in a hurry generally to come...

Can someone ID this.. restoring 71 Demon..

Similar but the metal is actually the bushing, the rubber is inside with the two little plastic bushings that slide into the rubber..

Can someone ID this.. restoring 71 Demon..

Heh.. exactly.. Yet apparently not for the demon I am working on, it must have been something previous and I ended up machining something to work as this sat there. Diameter is smaller than the A body linkage pin that comes up from the transmission.. No clue.. it will go back into my "dont lose...

Can someone ID this.. restoring 71 Demon..

Well its been over a year, this was placed in my "dont lose ever" spot.. I have been looking at it for ever it seems and today I went to connect my shifter linkage thinking forever now that this must have been the parts.. Obviously not after I picked it up. Anyone have a clue or has this been...

    [SOLD] Duster inner fender shields

These came off a 71 Duster, the right one appears to have been "fixed" area flattened out and some trimming off the top. They still fit well and did their job.. I had them blasted and powdercoated black and I applied raptor on the outside. There is some shelf dust from sitting, have not been...

    [SOLD] 1971 Duster/Demon heater box

I rebuilt this with intention of using it in a 71 Demon. I used two boxes to build one. It is not perfect but very nice. It was totally disassembled cleaned, I coated the inside for smoother air flow. New gasket kit/vent door foams/seals.. New heater core.. Comes with the Jhook, cables...

    1971 Duster Wire ID..

Eyes are crossed from looking at my diagrams and either they are hiding from me or not there.. Dark blue comes directly out of the fuse panel, appears it heats up something on the back of the rally dash?? It was disassembled to long ago I cannot remember. It is also factory tied to a gray/bk...

    71 Demon door gap/alignment

Ahh thanks Blu, thats about right where I am riding atm.. so the height is not going to be an issue. I will have to play with the drop I get at the bottom rear of the door as I cannot stay with the 1/8 gap I have between the door and the cowl, its just not enough.

    71 Demon door gap/alignment

Yes the 1/8 is my issue.. If I attempt to pull it out anymore than that the bottom door sinks to far into the jam for me to massage it out, once I clean up the lead area/prime/paint that 1/8 will be even smaller. I may have to play with the bottom of the door.. I do not use much in the way of...

    71 Demon door gap/alignment

Thanks all.. Ya i have worked many a gap on my chevelles generally adding metal.. This door seems pretty decent compared to some I have dealt with just want to make sure im as close as I can get before I start welding/grinding and the door being a bit low to the cowl and the 1/8 gap is a...

    71 Demon door gap/alignment

Thanks all, yes I brought it up as high as possible with both jam/door hinge still a tad low, was able to get 1/8" gap and should be able to massage the bottom of the door at the jam.. Might be as close as it gets, gap to cowl still seems tight.. Well tight as in, by the time I smooth in the...

    71 Demon door gap/alignment

Rebuilt hinges (Thanks Leo! Beautiful).. Hinges orig to the car/doors are not... They came from a 71 Duster.. As you can see from the pics at the jam I look decent, door gap consistent.. Lower corner could use a lil massage.. Problem being in order to get myself aligned to this point the...

    AMD Front fenders.. Extension fit..

Due to the front fenders just being hammered on this 71 Demon.. I opted for a pair of AMD's.. The pot metal front fender extensions fit well for garbage.. fenders are to wide up front/top leaving me at least 1/8" gap between extension and where the edge of the fender and the hood will land...

    [Found!] Front Fenders

Have a 1971 Demon I am restoring, front fenders are... going to take some work. Before worrying about aftermarket fitment/price etc, I figured I would see if someone had a line on one, pair someone with a dart they are parting? Thanks in advance.

    Saving 71 Demon...

Demons did come with them from my research. Not worried about the wiring as I have a complete harness for the car with the rallye dash. Not really seeing any differences, just the "Fixes".. The manuals i have do not depict demon or duster they only depict valiant and barracuda. Have both 71...

    Saving 71 Demon...

Tore out the dash, going to restore it for the Demon.. Appears the dash harness is still pretty intact.. few things I have found and need to investigate. As the manual does not seem to depict demon or duster.. I am guessing barracuda or valiant wiring schem is used? Anyhow pic 1 it appears...

    Saving 71 Demon...

I do have the duster. I was going to restore it as it is a 340 car but I found this demon.. Sadly I will be using parts from the duster it was a complete car semi running.. The demon has no body tag, it appears it was a 318 car as the K member is not a 340.. and I was told it was the red but...

    Saving 71 Demon...

Picked up a few things from the powder coat boys.. I believe I have my front suspension build figured out with as a few have mentioned DrDiff's help. Still trying to figure out of adjustable strut rods going to be that beneficial for a street cruiser. While the body is on the rotisserie I...

    Saving 71 Demon...

It's a 340 car I should keep the drive train it came with. I was thinking of OD for as much as I know everything about GM trannies.. the 200 is good and can be built to be even better but the proper case needed to build one that will last are difficult to find and gm parts in a in a mopar.. not...
