Thanks! When I get done with the roof, I'll be mucho happy! We have two hurricanes headed my way so I want to get it done by Monday. I'm going to finish the top with white Rhinoliner. I did it to my camper and really like it.

The roof has been kicking my tail for almost a month now. Heres some progress This stuff works pretty good...with added elbow grease and a wire brush Manged to cut a 4' long patch piece. Getting there. Got one coat of primer...bodywork not done yet. Looks good in the shade What I started with

Got the rear corner almost buttoned all the way up again. I welded ţwo tabs on the inside of the roof so all I had to do was lay the corner on and tack it. You can see I still have to replace metal up the side almost to the first door. I'll be glad to be done with the roof!

Still have to straighten a little where the back meets the corner.

Here it is installed and tacked up. Then, the rains came. I'll be working on the rear right corner today. More pics to follow!

So, I used the bottom of my donor tailgate as the rear drip rail. Had the grind off the pinch weld . The four holes..I figured would help with drainage. But looking at it installed, I'm thinking water may run up under it to the door seal. That won't be a problem as long as the seal seals! Then...

I had to cut off the whole back piece so I could treat the trust and coat it. Made another actual drip place on the rail . These vans had no way for the rain to escape...thus, rust.

Went to the right rear roof corner and spent some quality time there today. It was worse than I thought but I was in a good mood and commenced to cutting, grinding, fabbing and welding. Going to reweld the roof part after shoring up the inside Rewelded some bad factory welds A couple of new...

This heat! ....killing my fun time! Got a few more pieces made. Should ave gone a little further forward. Gotta make a little piece up there. Going to tackle the other corner today...in retrospect, should have made both drains before putting the first one up. Live and learn!

Got some hot fun in the summertime in today. About 3 hrs was all the fun I could stand. First pic- part of my old dog house has some nice curves I thought I could use. Have to look close to see the part I cut out. Second pic- a little (make that a lot) of up and down on my work platform (plastic...

The whole back end of the roof needs to be replaced. I'm doing it a section at a time so it doesn't get warped. The tabs on the bottom pic are to keep everything in place before the big pieces go in. I'll be adding pics as I go.

This is where I am now...the drivers side rear corner and roof. The roof is bad. Lots of cutting and welding. I use weld thru primer for new pieces going in. I use Master Series Sliver for the rust I can coat. It is a rust encapsulator similar to POR-15 ...but better imho.

The rear wheel well was a tough nut to crack! The metal was so stretched I had to cut it in several places to pull it out . Had to replace some rust which helped in getting the shape back.

Looking at the first pic, the front looks real bad. It did need body work but most of the rust was negated with phosphoric acid. The green is etching primer.

I figured the front end was the worst so I started there. I was wrong. The top is. I'm there now but will show some other work first.

Found on Craigslist . Last titled in New Hampshire ...I'm thinking it's why it has so much rust. Bought it for $500 delivered (about 90 miles) Looks like a pos, but it won't. Plans are to make it into a decent daily driver with either a 318 or 340 / 727. Rear is 3.55 It was originally a cargo...

    '66 A-100 rustbody..to keep me busy

This one has a locked up slant 6 with 3 on the tree. I've sourced a 727 and the hard to find 8 cylinder motor mounts to put a small block in it. The 727 for the A100 is different than most. It's shorter and has a single mount on the top. It's a learning experience!
