    308 head & XR280HR-10 Combo

I knew I had forgotten something..750 CFM Holley. They just cut for new seats, guides are new too. 444 Max torque on DD looks pretty good, but it happens early then falls off quick. 363 Max HP?? I thought this would certainly crack 400 HP? The Comp Cam Utility (CamQuest)is even more...

    Missile's minitub

You may want to consider one of the spray-in bed liner products or Lizard Skin, perhaps (wheel wells, underside, trunk and interior). Those products will have instuctions on exactly how the surface should be prepped. Minitubs look great, well done. ED

    Oil Slinger??

I went to install the timing cover on my new 360 build and realized that it didn't have an oil slinger when I tore it down, it's an '89 roller motor. Should I hold off and get one or will it hurt to move forward without it?? Thanks

Anyone use B body brakes on the A's

I recently scored an 8-3/4 housing for my Dart, and figured since I'm gonna use aftermarket axles, I may as well upgrade the brakes. I went with a set of 11x2-1/2, I don't know exactly what they came off of but 74 charger seemed to bring up suitable replacement parts. Is this alittle overkill...

    Rear seal question......Help

I've got a book that shows the rear main seal installation with a couple of small L shaped seals, these are neither in my rear seal set or the oil pan set. It looks like the cap could have a provision for this but...... 89 roller 360. Thanks

    Head Oiling

I have the same thoughts on my current project. I suspected that since the factory pushrods were hollow, I would need to replace them with a hollow set. But I since I'll be need ball and cup type for the roller rockers I didn't see any that were hollow. So the concensus is that these can be...

looking for info on magnum small block

I think I would tear down the 340 and look for a new set of pistons to make a street friendly 9.5:1 or so. Get some heads, some machine work on the block and crank....and presto, 340 Dart. Might also want to get the specs on the cam that's in it.

    308 heads

Comp has a couple of rollers out that might fit the bill. They're the XR line of hydraulic rollers, the 268 or 274 might be right. I building a factory roller 360 right now also, I opted for the 280HR cam, and I picked up new OE lifters, last week for $7.00 each. My 308's after a cleanup mill...

anyone use a comp roller cam and lifters in LA small block

How is that setup working. I'm in the process of assembling a factory roller block with a Comp XE hydraulic roller (280HR or 286HR) and I'm going to be using the factory lifters and retaining hardware. I have been told that I can expect to have issues between 5 and 6,000 rpm, as the stock...

Factory roller 360 and 308 head questions.

I'm going to pick up the block, crank and one piston and rod assembly tommorrow and mock up the rotating assembly. I wanna check deck height and get an idea of what to deck to make it zero (or close). Is 10:1 too much for street? I use 93 octane in all of my performance toys already.

Factory roller 360 and 308 head questions.

For a moment I considered going with magnum heads, but didn't want to get into the pushrod and lifter change-over. Will the 308 heads support powere levels to 450 HP?

Factory roller 360 and 308 head questions.

Great forum you guys have. After putting together a warmed over Slant for my 69 dart, I’ve decided that I went the wrong way…Ahh I coulda’ had a V-8. So I bought a 360 out of a 1990 B350 Van. It’s a factory roller engine, with 308 heads. Everything is at the machine shop right now, they’re...
