    Three on the tree conversion?

Got the engine and trans out today. This is the only photo I have of it. I'll take some close-ups tomorrow when I go back to get it. The car was two hundred yards back in the woods behind the barn and it required a dozer 2 drag it up to the barn and then we use the backhoe with a bucket on the...

    Three on the tree conversion?

Thanks for all the responses. I've already committed to it so I went over yesterday and sprayed all the fasteners, I'll go back over this weekend and get started on it. I get the driveshaft as well so that should alleviate that problem. The interior is gutted at the moment so if I have to...

    Three on the tree conversion?

Went to the races last night right after I made that post. Anyhow I'm not sure which trans this is yet but I'm assuming it's the smaller one simply because it's just a standard 71 dart 4 door. 500 for EVERYTHING, engine, trans, column, pedal assy, drive shaft, crossmember. The only drawback is I...

    Three on the tree conversion?

A guy down the road from me has a complete 225, 3 on the tree, column, pedal assy, pretty much everything I need to convert my 66. However it's a 71 and I'm not sure that will just "swap" out .

Door glass and wing window removal

Thanks, that clears some things up. May sound silly but where can I order the factory service manual? I'm kinda new at this..... Is the little plastic pinch clip going through the glass at bottom right the only thing holding it in the bottom chanel?

Door glass and wing window removal

Trying to remove door glass and wing window assembly. I have removed the three screws at the front of the wing window. It now appears as if I need to remove the bolt anchoring the forward vertical door glass Channel to the door. I'm assuming the door glass needs to come out in order to finish...

Anybody have any suggestions about which companies patch panels work best with the least mods. Everything except the front foot Wells appear to be salvageable.

    66 wagon rear side window.

Yes I did. No one showed up this past weekend so I had to wait till Tuesday. You were correct, it took me 6 hours to get the first one out and less than an hour for the second one. On the windshield I just cut the gasket and it came right out. I have checked around and windshields and gaskets...

    66 wagon rear side window.

Dartman, I am lucky in that this vehicle spent 53 years of its life in a garage the weather stripping it's already reasonably pliable. I spent 10 hours yesterday using a homemade nylon tool that I made following your instructions. The gasket is now completely pulled away from the glass outside...

    66 wagon rear side window.

Does anybody have any idea where to find rubber gaskets for these windows. I checked all the obvious places, Steele rubber, Classic Industries, Detroit Muscle. Or is it possible to make one out of gasket stock that is sold in straight pieces sold by the foot. In order to paint this car properly...

    New head?

Thanks for the tip rocker shaft reinstall. I also thought about tapping deeper but I don't know how deep the water jacket is. I'm hoping to get the engine out of the car this weekend. I don't think this is the original engine. ID tag and casting numbers don't match up. I'll know more here in a...
