Curious about build of a rear drum brake

I started work on my rear drum brakes on a stock 73 duster (9 inch drum) I noticed 2 things that had me curious 1) the wheel cylinder didn't have pushrods ( I read somewhere on the forum 9 in brakes didn't use them)- was it just a space issue? 2) the e brake line seems to be on the side...

Brake Calipers too snug (Pirate Jack A body disc brake kit)

To update, I sanded the inner brake pad. I measured them and found almost 2mm difference in thickness. I know have a good fit and the rotor can rotate.

Brake Calipers too snug (Pirate Jack A body disc brake kit)

NoCar, When I go to install it I make sure it is seated and there is no gap on the outer pad . As of now, there is no room for adjustment. I need to try the suggests people have given me to compress the piston The photo was just an attempt to show the width between the pads and what type of...

Brake Calipers too snug (Pirate Jack A body disc brake kit)

I am having an issue with my brake caliper not wanting to fit on my disc rotor. A disc brake caliper tool doesn't seem to compress it in any for more space. I managed to get one brake on the passenger side but the brakes are so snug I can barely turn the rotor; the driver side dust boot tore in...

Size of power steering drain plug

This is the pump I have. If that bolt is just for a mounting hole, the leak seems to be coming in that area. When I pulled the bolt out it had fluid on it I've checked the hoses and they seem fine. Is there something else I could be inspecting?

Size of power steering drain plug

I'm not sure how a photo would be helpful in this case. I probably need a bolt size chart . My manual doesn't seem to indicate the size. The bolt that was in it was slightly smaller . the next size up looks like 5/16 in. I was wondering if any one knew precisely .

Size of power steering drain plug

The guy I bought my 73 Duster from seemed to have a place holder bolt for the plug. fluid dripped out It looks like it needs to be a 5/16 bolt. Is that correct?

Opinion for putting in bucket seats

I picked up some cheap unidentified seats I thought I could use for my 73 duster. I was hoping someone could identify them and for advice for what DIY bracketing I need to fix them to the floor. I have tools including a welder if I need to make brackets. I didn't want to just start in before...

Holley 1920 Rebel adapter for air cleaner ?

I am new to the classic car world. I have a 73 duster with Holley carb 1 barrel. The previous owner gave me two beat up air cleaners with it but it needs an adapting mount / parts to fit over the throat. I am looking for recommendations for a decent cleaner and adapter. Where can I find...
