Looking for a threaded kickdown pressure rod from pivot to carb. Have a 73 dart sport with 727 and LA 360, have a holley 670 4bbl.

Wow. I just need to find pressure rod and should be smooth sailing. I am kind of surprised there aren't more aftermarket options. Probably because it is such a specific part.

Mine looks damn near identical with similar weld.

Is that rod the same as one of the rods you sent in the other image?

First off, I appreciate the timely responses. Secondly, I am unsure what "parts" could be from a two barrel. Are you referring to the pivots and other rods? It was a factory 340 car and according to that link, My parts should be correct for my application.

Okay that makes sense. I can't find a better image, but on post#4 I circled the part I am looking for. The Throttle pressure rod. I have the other rods and brackets attached correctly. I also need the holley throttle extension lever on post #7.

Interesting. Well, I got it into third on the drive home and it shifted great. But I won’t drive it any more until correctly setting up Kickdown. Thank you

Okay nevermind this makes sense to me now. I maybe drove it a mile without the throttle pressure rod. I still can’t seem to find the correct one, and don’t want to buy a complete Kickdown setup. Any ideas?

Even if you manually shift? I have heard that it is okay especially if you don’t actually punch the throttle. Maybe this is just wrong.

All the key does is lock the steering column. There is no electrics at all connected to the key.

Yes I follow you throughout that message. However, we had it running great with ballast and everything in place. I do not see how the push button could change how much voltage is being sent to coil compared to using the key if everything else is still the same.
