    After previous posts here I am going to get a new 4” stroke eagle crankshaft new pistons and rods to match. What else should I look out for. Will the new crankshaft require balancing. Im going with the .040 over pistons to get 11:1 compression to make it a 392. Any advice will be appreciated...

    How do you think this will run. 6 cylinders measure .003-005 over. I got new std pistons -6cc chambers. KB hyper pistons. Lets hears what ya’ll think.

    Hone grit for moly rings

    I am getting a new set of rings and the top ring will be a Molly coated rain. What grit should I hold the cylinder with? It says use a medium but the stones don’t come in medium I saw 150 180. 220. This will be on the loose side, not on the tight specifications.

    Is this good enough

    Deglazing and with a 3.910 std bore they all cylinders are under 3.913 is the largset measurement I can get but I got this ring you can see in picture. Do I need to keep going. This is not a race motor

    Differences in 318 block.

    I have a 89 block with a crack I cannot have fixed. I also have a good 71 block and rotating assembly. Will this older block work. Its std 3.910 bore. Largest bore size I measured was 3.931 what would be a good oversize .020 over?

    Other than having dead on timing is there any other reason for timing gears? I am considering putting them on.

    I am losing 2 cc in I am losing 2 cc in the combustion chamber in my new heads. My motor is 40 over. Will that pretty much equal out or will I still be losing compression because of the 2 cc loss?
