    Holley Carb problem

I will be picking up a vacuum gauge ASAP, and i would have included more details if i had them sorry, I ended up buying this rolling block from a well known mopar guy in the area to get the car on the road this summer while i spend time building a 360 how i want, all he knew is it had an...

    Holley Carb problem

Im so close to getting my 67 barracuda back on the road after six years sitting, but im struggling with the carb now. My setup is a .030 over 360, rv cam, strip dominator intake, rebuilt 3310 holley 750, headers, full msd with plugs gapped .045. The msd manual says .065, tried it, ran terrible...

    steering assembly hitting new headers

That's true, I raised the motor with a Jack to see about using spacers under the motor mounts and raising it made the tube by the outer steering tube come in a little more contact. What if I bolted everything up tight, then put a Jack under the flange at the bottom of the headers and massaged it...

    dougs electric cutouts?

My set up is a 360 with Doug's headers, I will be building a 2.5" x pipe system , and I'm kicking around doing some cut outs in the system, I'm not looking for the actual y pipes included because I'm a fabricator and will make my own but I'm looking for the actuator assembly, I've seen some that...

    steering assembly hitting new headers

So I just swapped a 360 into my 67 barracuda, running dougs headers, had to indent them to clear the outer steering tube, and now I'm having a problem with the lower steering assembly. It's a manual steering car and when I turn the wheel to the right the assembly is nice and tight and no flex...

    67 barracuda 360 swap update

Thanks guys I'll take a look at that today, with that collar slid up the headers will clear the steering rod though just barely, but I don't even have the gaskets on yet so maybe it wont :/

    67 barracuda 360 swap update

Been working a lot, but making a serious push to get this thing done. Car had a 318, and I'm swapping over to a semi built 360, not as bolt in as I thought! Ran into a couple small issues, the 360 motor mounts I had were way too tall, so I ended up modifying my 318 brackets to fit (bottom...

intake & carb for built 318

I'm not sure of the current springs, but they were set up for an isky rv cam. I am shopping for the springs to make the new cam work but no exactly sure wich ones I need, I've found .500's? I'm also going to go for an airgap intake and I'm thinking a stall convterter would be a good idea, carb...

intake & carb for built 318

I am running 3.55's with a built 727 manual valve body shift and stock converter at the moment, was thinking of going for a 2500. But by all means if there is a cam you can reccomend that will fit the build perfectly I'm definitely not opposed to getting another one, it's just what came with the...

intake & carb for built 318

I had a smaller isky cam before with the performer and 600cfm eddy carb that worked fine. I have an older buddy helping me out with the build who has done a few engines, and he was thinking the springs were the problem but ill mention that to him. that was just his thoughts. ill be mainly...

intake & carb for built 318

Another amateur build thread, i know lol. After 6 long years of neglecting my 67 fastback I finally have the shop space and time for her. hoping to have it on the road by april. I didn't have the time and money to get it set up properly back then so I just tried to get it together in a hurry...

i never said i wasnt going to... i was gonna check the compression to see if there was issues with that first with the slight optimistic chance that there was no issues, this project has become unbeleivably frustrating to me, please dont start up with the "i told you so's". I dont even have...

lmao. thats awesome. ok so just for kicks i took two straight rods, and put them back in cyliner 1, and turned it over a couple times by hand, and the cylinder built up its compression, the valves opened right, and best of all it didnt bend the rods. i mean if they were gonna bend still wouldnt...

    desperatly need engine help

im not sure about pushrod length actually, they were just the rods that were used with the cam before this one, it had 435 lift, and this one has 474, think thats enough to do it? im leaning more towards the lifters not being pumped because some of these things were bent a loot more, so maybe...
  28. skycuda67

    desperatly need engine help

ok just to check are you saying that if the lifters didnt have enough oil in them that that could be why the rods bent? and now that the engine has had oil pumped all through it, its now fine and just needs the new push rods to work? i wasnt there for the installation of the cam, lifters and...
