Right. But I'm saying that with the 70 style jack and hook, there should be no need to modify it.

Check the bottom edge of your rear bumper. Good chance it still has the notches for the hook. I know a 73 Scamp rear bumper I have has both the slots for the 72 up style jack as well as the notches for the 70 hook.

I'll double check tomorrow and confirm if it has the armrest, and get some pics if it does. I'm in the middle of PA, little town of Woodward

I have a green with Houndstooth cloth insert bench from a 72 Swinger. Pretty sure it has the armrest in the center, but I'd have to put eyes on it to confirm.

Curious when the 340 pattern changed. The 318 went to the symetrical pattern in 72, so either a) the 340 kept the offset hole through 73 b) the OP's "72" 318 is really a 71 and earlier c) that particular 318 was built with leftover 71 parts d) somebody changed dampers Just curious what...
