    If fabrication is something you're OK with. You might look into an 5-speed R154 out of a 87-92 turbo supra. Its got better gear ratios and stronger than the dakota transmission, but will bolt to a dakota bellhousing. There are a couple of threads posted on hear and a couple of the other...

    4 speed conversion

    Some of the cranks were bored for a pilot bushing and some were not. If yours was not, you can get it bored for one. Mine cost around twenty dollars to have the local machine shop do it.

    I think he means like four speeds are A833 and wants to know what a three speed is. 3 spds are A-230. The 3 speed can be used with your 360, but you will need a small block bellhousing.

    Highway gears is one thing, but this???

    Since you turned the tire twice, shouldnt you divide by two? That would seem to make sense, and you would end up with what is probably a 3.23 gear ratio.

    8 1/4 durability????????????????

    Are the axles in the 8.8 from a mustang not offset? It might be a dumb question but you made it seem like they arent.
