Actually , I will have to drive it again to find out. but if I recall correctly it seems to be about 25 to 30 mph or so when it goes from first to second.

What would keep a freshly rebuilt 727 from shifting into third gear? I have a Lokar kickdown cable on it and it seems to be set correct. Is there more than on way to connect the factory linkage? I want to be sure I have done my part correctly before I call the transmission shop that freshed it...

Yeah those were my thoughts as well. I will go under and adjust the linkage. I have seen a lot of drag race cars at george rays start in gear,and sometimes it causes quite a stir for those around the car.Thanks for the info guys.

Just tried to start newly rebuilt 360 with rebuilt 727. Will the nuetral safety switch not allow the car to start, by not activating the starter relay? I can jump across relay and spin motor. Also I have put trans. fluid in but I am still able to roll the car around with the colum shift in...

I have a 727 trans and a 9 inch rear. I have the piece that goes into the transmission and the drive shaft that came with the 9 inch. I am going to have shaft shortened and reuse it .What combination u-joint do I need to be able to work with the 727 slip yoke?

The Mancini kit and bracket looks just like Bouchillon kit.

On the Lokar set up do you have to get the Edelbrock adapter 1481 like you do on the Bouchillon? I went to Lokar site to see if they had any install directions & nope none found.

I am ready to purchase a kickdown cable set up. What have yall found to work the best? easiest to install?Lokar is about half the price of the Bouchillon,but if its better ,easier,it may well be worth it. what do you guys think?

I have noticed that some converters do not have the starter ring welded on,while others do.Do all 727 have the welded starter ring on them? I have 2 727s they both are the same,welded on. I am having one of the trans. freshed up,and a new converter ordered[25-2800].Will it come with the starter...

Got a van 727,how can I tell what the stall is on it? It measures 11 inches across,However I see no indication of its stall . It is going into a 72 Dart behind the 360 that came out of the same van. thanks :headbang:
