Thanks for the info. The 850 works excellent on my set up. as well as the 38 degrees. Car idles fine and launches as well as my Drag car that runs 10.0 . All I was really interested in was the info on the advance stop bushing selection.:read2:

I'm at 16 initial and 38 total at 2800 rpm with the blue bushing. "I started out at 36 and the launch was sluggish" I haven't tried changing the bushing but the car spins the tires up all threw first with no detonation. Idle is set at around 750 rpm.

I just installed a MSD pro billet part number 8534. I swapped out to the light springs but did not change advance stop bushing because I am having a little trouble understanding why I should change it. I set my timing at 38 degrees with the lightest springs and the car rocks, I'm just wondering...

Both of you are running the 9000 series billit units?

Naw its not the Marine style cap its the standard one. You have no problems with the wiper motor? I had to clearance the base on mine and touch up the paint, the friggin distributor sits right tight against the wiper motor My mounts are new stock replacements from Mancinis. Perhaps I should bolt...

thanks for the info. I welded in new mounts in the correct postion and installed it. I posted some pics here , also one of the 400 I just freshened up. Do you think it is to wide?

Well I assembled and painted and man it looks great. To bad the spring mounts are on the top of the housing..... WTF??? The perch to perch is 43" and flange to flnge is around 57 1/2" Is this from a van or what??

I dont remember? Wont the SS springs make the xar sit a little **** eyed because one has more of a rigid arc than the other?

I Guess Its just as I thought not a BB Car. Oh well I'll just pull the 400/727 Rearend and front brakes and put it in my Barracuda. One thing is for sure, the BB set up fits right in, even the exhaust Manifolds look factory.

I used the vin decoder and it says the 76 a body is a export BB car. Any help would be appreciated. Below are the pics of the car.
