    Intake choices

I wouldn't use the Torker 340 intake. Just get a RPM/Air Gap intake. I had the torker 340 on my Duster and switching to the Air Gap made a big difference.

    340 Intake Manifold choice

I have an Edelbrock Air Gap on my 340 which is similar to yours and it works out great. Much better than the single plain Torker that was on it before.

Dyno'd my Duster 340 how did I do?

When we built my engine, I followed the 400 hp 340 article I found, but I always figured my engine would probably make around 350. And with dynoing my car this time, and knowing it can be tuned better, I know I should be close if not a little above it.

Dyno'd my Duster 340 how did I do?

I think all of the dyno charts ended up wavy for everyone that dyno'd for some reason. And when they gave the printouts, they said to estimate the engine numbers by dividing the whp by 0.65. This is to account for drivetrain losses and the fact that the mustang dyno reads 15-20% lower hp...

Dyno'd my Duster 340 how did I do?

Went with some other Mopar guys and dyno'd our cars on a Mustang Dyno. I put down 220 hp and 232 lb-ft which calculates out to 340 hp and 357 lb-ft at the engine. That's without tuning in the carb and the timing, which I know the timing can be optimized and they also said my converter is...

    Edelbrock RPM Air Gap?

I was wondering if it will fit under a flat Duster hood? I have a Torker 340 now and I believe the Air Gap is taller. I also have a Mopar air cleaner. Will it fit or will I have to get a drop base air cleaner bottom?

Intake manifold: Torker 340 vs dual plane

Right now I have a Torker 340 that I got for almost nothing but I hear alot of people calling it junk. I've been thinking about getting one of the Edelbrock dual planes such as an Air Gap/RPM/LD340. I know I'd gain a lot on the low end over the Torker and they should all be able to pull up...

    Leaking aluminum Mopar valve covers!!!

I have the same problem with my Mopar valve covers. I had to notch them to fit around the intake and I have tried 3 different kinds of gaskets some cheap rubber ones, cork which were fully saturated with oil, and now the Mopar ones. The mopar gaskets work the best so far but they still leak on...

    swinger 360

If you can't find an 8-3/4 you can look for an 8-1/4. And they are set up with the big bolt pattern which I believe they had in 74.

What kind of carb spacer would work the best?

On a 340 with XE268 cam, Torker 340 intake, Eddy 750 carb. I have enough clearance under the hood for a 1 inch spacer or maybe taller. So what should I look for? 4-hole? Open? Any ideas?
