    Installing a V8 in a JEEP!

Novak makes CJ to Mopar motor mounts, and so do a few smaller 4x4 fabricators: http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/engine_mounts/mmx-nd1.htm GM swaps are typically easy, but the Ford small block family may actually be the easiest, as the AMC engines are typically bolted to Ford transmissions...

Magnum Swap with Factory Fuel Injection

From what I've been reading, some people have just deleted uneccessary wiring, while others have shorted/spliced some of the computer pins together to trick the computer into reading that all systems are operating correctly. I plan to use the computer from the same engine, unless someone...

Magnum Swap with Factory Fuel Injection

I'm looking into swapping a Dodge Ram 5.9L and nv4500 transmission into my Jeep, but I haven't found any good information on the swap. Has anyone put a Magnum motor in their Dart and kept the factory fuel-injection? My only major concern is the computer, as I know they monitor several...

    5.7 Hemi in a Duster

    boring my 318

Your compression is an overall figure based upon the volume of stroke compared to the volume above TDC, which includes volume of cylinder above TDC and the cc's of your combustion chamber. To increase compression ratio, you can either use taller pistons, reduce combustion chamber volume ( with...

    boring my 318

If that's your goal, then head over to pick-n-pull in San Jose and find a set of "...302s" on a Chrysler New Yorker ( '85 era ) and have them rebuilt from your local machine shop with the larger valves. I know that American Cylinder Head in Oakland can do it for you, but I'm not sure what shop...

    boring my 318

360 heads flow better, but you'll die on the street unless you set the engine for high rpm duty. It would be a better idea to put 318 heads on a low compression truck 360. You need compression and you need quench to get this for a street mill.

    boring my 318

I bought my "...302" heads from aerohead racing, a division of Indy cylinder head. http://www.aeroheadracing.com/id6.html I ordered them with the 1.88/1.60 valves ( as advertised ) a back-cut on the intake, and hardened seats. With shipping, they were $600 even. The "...302" casting...
