    Starter not disengaging?

Installing the diode in the circuit corrected the problem. This isn't an exact match with the factory wiring schematic. Incorporating the Mopar orange box ignition and the ballast resistor created the back current issue. The red wire from the coil to the resistor meets with the wire coming...

    Starter not disengaging?

The Painless wiring was very straight forward. It's not the same as factory by design. It's incorporating the Mopar ignition that was a trick.

    Starter not disengaging?

I pulled the wire long before this thread, and no power was getting anywhere. No response when the ignition was turned on.

    Starter not disengaging?

After further diagnostics there "IS" power remaining when the key springs back into the run position. I talked to Painless Wiring and they recommend a diode be installed in the circuit. We agreed the diode needs to be inline on the wire that runs between the Ignition post on the starter relay...

    Starter not disengaging?

I agree. I've removed and replace multiple starters dozens of times now. Is there any way to confirm this? As soon as power is disconnected i've watched the gear disengage immediately.

    Starter not disengaging?

How is this adjusted? I've cleaned the bellhousing and don't believe anything should be shimmed? I've tried two MSD Starters and one Speedmaster chinese starter. All have the same issue.

    Starter not disengaging?

Long story sorry. Need the details. I have a 1972 Duster with a 360 LA block and a 727. I completely rewired the car using a painless universal Mopar wiring kit. As I got to a point I could ops check the engine starting system I bumped the ignition and it fired. I finished the complete car...

    Blinker issue

That is the car that I'm finishing for my wife. She had the idea of reversing the original color scheme. So what would have been black is now M5 Moulan Rouge and the car is satin black.

    Blinker issue

It ended up being the new blinker camber. The metal prongs that should make contact with the steering column when the blinker is turned on were to long. They weren't making contact. I trimmed each one and the problem was fixed. Glad when its easy.

    Blinker issue

Ok. I have a 72 duster. My ignition switch didn't work, and my blinker camber did not lock in the up position. I took apart the steering column to fix both parts. I installed a new ignition switch which now works just fine. I also installed a new camber. Now that everything is put back...
