loosen the engine mounts and move the motor over...make sure its not hitting anything. You will be happy with these headers....no more bottoming out!

I have the Schumacher headers in my 68 Dart 440 with power steering.They fit perfect,by the way when you pull the starter to install the headers get the mini starter. the Dart has a floor shifter.

Hi everyone. Here are some pics that I found on Ebay. This is for a 1968 Dodge Dart. Can you give me an opinion on the correct one. My concern is on how much the tips will stick out from under the bumper if I get the wrong ones.Take note on the hanger position.

Can anyone tell me the proper exhaust tips that go on a 1968 Dodge dart with a 440? I have found the long resonator ones and the short ones. Is there a difference?

spend a little extra and get some good ones, not to mention someone with better customer service. You don't want to be replacing headers on a Duster more than once

Im in Canada and got my D453 shipped to my US address for 502.00 from Autozone with the 20% coupon. I put these on my 72 340 Duster, man what a difference from the Hookers. Now I can drive without the worry of bottoming out over every bump. I am very happy with the D453s. Do it Kegan B, trust me...

I agree with 318willrun,I just disconnected the motor mounts and raised it as high as I could...remove the distributor cap and coil if its on the firewall. Installed from underneath..oh ya if you have the 90 degree oil filter adapter that has to come off.

check out Autozone and look for the Dougs ceramic coated headers. I got a set for my 340 Duster. Im sure they have them for a big block, I also purchased a set of Schumachers a few years back(1000) for my BB 68 Dart they fit and look good.

Ordered my 453 Dougs from Autozone 502.00 with 20% discount code ,shipped to my US address. They look good and fit perfect. They are on a 72 duster 340,auto with manual steering .They have minimal clearance in some areas but you will be happy with them.

Just got my D453 ceramic coated for my 72 Duster 340. I got them for 500 with delivery....WOW Thank you Autozone .I am tired of bottoming out those dang hookers!

that's an excellent idea dvav. I am going to price some TTi s or go with the Shumacher headers. I know they are pricey but I don't want to do it again
