Not listed for a 64 but my research says Manuel steering boxes from 62 to the 70's are the same minus the pitnum arm. Looking to buy this box for my 1964 dart. Will it work ? Flaming River FR1540 Mopar Manual Steering Boxes

Thanks Tim They changed the design to a counter sunk allen head bolt so the factory bolt will not work. (pic 3 ) They have been informed of the problem and are sending me the old style plates like yours.

I got back to work on the front end.Installed lower ball joint's, new upper control arms and shock's and set the ride height.The drivers side is still dropping over an inch and grinding when I back up.I added more pre load and it still does it.I have no idea whats going on.I never touched the...

Im going to install new lower ball joints tomorrow then hopefully re-set the torsion bars.I'll know more tomorrow.

Well it didn't.After lowering back to the ground I bounced the front up & down and it still had aprox 2'' of travel.Didn't collapse until I backed up.

Thats what im hoping for.

Ya I did everything correct except I left the torsion adjusters a bit loose since I had more work to do on it.I didnt plan on driving like this just back it up to clean the garage.

Anybody else use this method.I bought the mancini adjustable strut rods and don't want to remove the lca's to install them if I don;t have to.

Im getting ready to install new uca's in the next few day's and have never worked on a torsion bar type suspension yet.Do the torsion bars have to come off in order to replace the upper control arms or can I place a jack under the spindle assy and remove and replace them ???
