I'm in the middle of a front end rebuild and disc brake conversion.
When I installed the scarebird brake bracket's I noticed how far the new lower ball joint bolts stuck out. Looks like the are designed to be the steering stop ?
If so am I loosing some steering radius with the bolts so long and hitting the lower control arm ?

You are using the wrong bolt there. You need to use the factory bolt there, you can just see it in my picture.

The head of the factory bolt has a short head. And the length is just right. I dont have these brakes any longer, sold them. I dont know the correct length, sorry.

Thanks Tim
They changed the design to a counter sunk allen head bolt so the factory bolt will not work. (pic 3 )
They have been informed of the problem and are sending me the old style plates like yours.

With the old style brackets no problems. I wonder why they changed design. Good luck
