    Help with these bleeder screws

The metal line going to cylinder looks pretty new and the OP said the previous owner replaced the line. I would inspect everything just to be sure.

    Help with these bleeder screws

Is there hex on the end of those? You just screw them and put regular bleed screws. But I'm with justme cylinders are cheap just repace them

Thanks everyone! Great info. As far as the front and rear reservoir are on my car they're right, my brain was thinking backwards :(.

    EARLY A booster

I thought the small reservoir(front) was for he disc brakes. I'll have to check out to see how I actually have

    EARLY A booster

Yeah I've owned a 66 73 Barracuda, and 65 Fury all with manual brakes and I don't remember having issues using them, but then again I was a lot younger then! That's why I wasn't sure if there is a difference in master cylinders and that would have something to do with it.

    EARLY A booster

Hey all, tried the search thing and there's just too much to go through. I currently have a 73 manual disc setup on my 65 Barracuda. The car stops great but it has a rock hard petal and I'd like to soften it up a bit. I have 2 questions: 1st is there a difference in master cylinder force (piston...

My 'Cuda wants to lock up and slide way too easy....

If it's all 4 than a proportional valve wouldn't help, and your brakes are doing their job. It's a 68 its not going to stop like a new car. Grippier tires will help.

My 'Cuda wants to lock up and slide way too easy....

Are front or the back locking?

anyone used this 10" front drum to disc conversion?

How do those rotors work? They don't have a race to mount on to the spindle.

    Master cylinder questions

Yeah brakes work fine you just have to press really hard. I used to have a 73 Barracuda with mannual brakes years ago and it didn't seem to bother me. It could all be subjective since all the other cars we drive are boosted.

    Master cylinder questions

I have a 73 disc brake conversation on my 65. The brakes are un-boosted. The question I have the pedal feel is really hard and I wondering if there is a difference with master cylinder for power vs mannual set up?

Is this cam too wild for power brakes?

I guess I'm boring:rolleyes: I'll end up changing the cam sometime or another, this is a cruiser not a racer. That's what my other car is for

Is this cam too wild for power brakes?

With 5 in-Hg of vacuum at idle and it max's out on 9 in-Hg, so I'm thinking the cam is culprit.

Is this cam too wild for power brakes?

I agree with the manual vs power difference, I had an E body with manual brakes and steering and loved it, this car has completely restored to stock (with the exception of the engine ) and I don't want to do any heavy modifying to it. This is more of show/investment car, my 65 Barracuda my fun...

Is this cam too wild for power brakes?

If it's not the booster, I'm thinking a milder cam might be a better solution. The engine is pretty much stock with the exception of a set of headers, and with 3.23 gears it's a dog off the line. Beside I'm not racing this car.

Is this cam too wild for power brakes?

    I just bought a Challenger with a 340 4spd. It has x heads 10:1 with a pretty wild Lunati 10200705 Voodo cam: Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 284/292 Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 242/252 Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .533/.552 LSA/ICL: 110/106 I'm having trouble with power break boosting or lack...

    65 brake lines

Funny thing as I was writing that last post the door bell rang and it was the up's man with the brake line, and when I opened the box I noticed it was the front to back (proportion valve to rear axle line only, I must have read the description wong, either way I still it was worth it, it apears...

    65 brake lines

I just ordered a complete set from Summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rsd-yin6502 I was a pipe fitter by trade, and I figured $45 it was worth the aggravation of not doing it myself.

    11.75" Cop Car Brake Swap

Are you using stock rear drums if so did you have to adjust for bias front to rear? I also remember reading that the interceptor rotors were a special one piece design. Would anyone happen to know the Mopar PN for these?

    11.75" Cop Car Brake Swap

I remember reading an old aticle several years ago, l believe it was in Mopar Muscle. They talked about using the big rotor off a 76 Cop car on a 73 or newer A-body spindle. The best that recall it retained the 73 calipers and some type of factory mount bracket. Has anyone heard of this swap...
