    What should I do?

I said "HOPING!!!" - a man can dream, right I figured I'd have to go higher, just trying to keep it in a budget. I could go to 4k if need be.... I've never done this before, so I really didn't know what to put for a budget. Feel free to go nuts with what I could do. I need some guidance on...

    What should I do?

Oh, yeah, 3.23 gears which I don't mind changing, but want to be able to drive it around town (and freeways) without any issues...

    What should I do?

I've posted a couple of questions on FABO before and have always gotten great advice. I have a 67 Barracuda S with the original 273 Commando in it. I recently upgraded the intake (eddy performer) and carb (Holley 570 street avenger) because the previous owner destroyed the originals... Now...

Man, I didn't expect to get this kind of response to my question... Awesome!! I really need to do more research than I first thought. My pockets aren't too deep, but I'm willing to drop the cash when needed - What do you guys think this will cost me, realistically? I want to make sure that I get...

Looking forward to it! Thanks again. Does anyone happen to know of a good place to get all of this done in Southern Ca.? I can do some basic bolt-on work, but I think I'm gonna leave the rebuild to the Pro's.... (Not to mention, I'm limited on garage space!!)

I want it to be a street ride with a little bit of balls.... Not planning on taking it to the track or anything like that. Just want to keep the stock appearance and hopefully not spend a ton of cash...

I have a '67 Barracuda Form S notchback with the stock 273 Commando, Ed. Performer intake/ Holley 570 St. Avenger, 8 3/4, 3.23, dual exhaust. Just got the go ahead from the boss (wife) to get the engine rebuilt. Anyone have advice on what I could do to add performance? Maybe get up to around 300...

    one more rookie question...

Yes. And Tires are 205/70R/14 front, 245/60RS/14 rear.

    one more rookie question...

It is a notchback, pretty much all stock. I just want it set up for street, gonna stick with the stock 14's 7 up front, maybe 8 in back, don't know the exact size off hand... Don't have actual weight on it, like I said just going off the factory specs ( go ahead and add about 220 for me). Still...

    one more rookie question...

Consider the Performer Grabbed! Thanks for the help, again. As far as the Cam stuff: car weight is approx. 2800 according to factory specs, 727 trans, the previous owner added an 8.75 rear end, but I dont know the gear ratio (if I had to guess, probably 3.23) I'd like 3.55, I'll have to check...

    one more rookie question...

Thanks again, fellas... I'll probably go with the Performer only because I can get it new and not have to trust someone selling it on ebay, sight unseen. Somebody threw another option at me: Weiand Action Plus? any thoughts before I go drop some cash on the Performer? ....... Not second guessing...

    one more rookie question...

I think that I've decided on a Holley Street Avenger 570 for my 273 commando... Any input on an intake manifold that would work well with it? My head hurts reading about bolt angles, single v. dual plane, Edelbrock v. Holley v. weiand.... Anyone out there know what works best and will fit with...

    New carb for a 273...

Thanks for all of the info guys, appreciate it. I plan on keeping this car #'s matching since it's somewhat rare to begin with, but still want to add more power to the engine it has. Plan on rebuilding it to D-Dart specs in the future (a few years, once I learn a bit more). I thought the stock...

    New carb for a 273...

I have a '67 Formula "S" that has the stock 273 Commando. The carb is shot and Im looking to get a new one. I've been eyeballing the Edlebrock Thunder AVS 650, but I can't find ANYTHING that says it's compatable with my engine/ intake! Everything says 318-340... I'm sure that it is, but will I...
