The aspect I love about the 5.7 Hemi is the road manners it would bring to one of our old muscle cars. It would idle smoothly, have plenty of vaccuum, and be very street worthy which is something you don't always get otherwise.

Would have to really upgrade transmissions and rear end gears for this type of race though.

I think it would be pretty cool to have some type of huge "Cannonball Run". Be cool to setup our Mopar's for road race and just hit the road. Start it somewhere neutral and have it end up in the east coast, or shoot, have it end up in Mexico!!!!!!!!!8)

Have any of you guys ever participated in some type of race across several states, cross country, etc? I was talking to some guy the other day who claimed races like this occur from time to time. Usually however they are mostly imports.
