    1965 Dodge Dart Charger

Like one of your sources, I have a very large sample size in my memory of these cars. My first A body was in 66 when I turned 16, but it was a 273 2bbl 4speed 64 Barracuda. (I wanted a new S 67 Barracuda but had to settle for the repo 64) When the 65s came out in late 64, I had a couple friends...

    1965 Dodge Dart Charger

Those 273 4barrel Hi Po, a body motors were the coolest thing around back then. The resonator tip was shiny stainless, not black, and you could hear someone with their foot in it blocks away.

    my 68 cuda engine compartment

Have you asked CarQuest or Napa to see if they have longer lines at the warehouse? Back when I was a CarQuest warehouse salesman, I know we had longer ones in the warehouse, but they were slow movers. So they may not carry them anymore.

    my 68 cuda engine compartment

Nice work James! Are you bending your own brake lines, or buying them already done? Love the color, is that AA1?

    Tube Chassis Hemi Dart Project

Yeah, they have a lot of electronics now, and you wouldn't have to carry around two batteries. All I had was a gold box and electric water pump. The water pump didn't run much, and I had two RV batteries in parallel. Never had a problem, but I can see now how a guy could. That is why I...

    Tube Chassis Hemi Dart Project

Thanks for the information. I hear ya, things have changed a lot when it comes to electronics. I used to run dual batteries, and they would last the whole evening without a charge. (a portable generator never did make the top of my priority list:toothy7:)

    Tube Chassis Hemi Dart Project

Wow, there is some serious cash there! Is that an alternator I see on the lower passenger side? Is that a current trend, or are doing that for some street time? The smog pumps came around after I quit, but now that is standard fare, just wondering if the same is true with the alternator.

    1965 Dodge Dart Charger

I recently purchased one, but will have to look at my receipt at home to get the company I bought it from. I think they were in Ohio, and learned about them on here. I am sure someone will be along sooner with the name though. Keep up the good work!

    1964 Valiant Signet 200 Hardtop

LMAO, the guy that put on 4 bumperettes must be the same guy that mounted dual washer tanks. We have all met "that guy" over the years. :D

    1964 Valiant Signet 200 Hardtop

Nice catch, that is wierd! Love the untouched looks of this car, brings back a lot of memories. Is that a CB mounted below the "leg chiller?"

    Tube Chassis Hemi Dart Project

Wow, this thread went crazy since the last time I looked at it. I am going to have to go clean up, wow! Love the fact that you retained the instrument panel, gauges and glove box cover. This car is in a class of its own, very nice.

That is a great combo, and can't wait to watch the progress. At least a lot of the dis-assembly is already done. :D

    1967 Barracuda Progress....

I have a hard time feeling too sorry for you getting that snow in Texas, since it is probably going to be 60, before we hit 20 up here. :D Oh, and then there is the problem with 24 inches of snow Tuesday night! That was just too much, it was over my head in places due to the wind.

    My new 71 Demon project

Looks like a very nice project! I am not up on my 71 paint codes, what is GF7? I like the white, should be a very fun car. I had a couple of those 3 speed on the floor cars, both were 70 Cudas.

    '68 Barracuda project

I hope you find a nice solid car under there, because it looks like someone has spent some serious time getting it to this point. Good luck with it! Ok, I get it now, you are comparing the new light stuff to the stock stuff. The stock pistons are really heavy, I used to know those numbers...

    '68 Barracuda project

Wow, that is a very nice car to start with! Are you the one that has done all the body prep work? The 440s rods statement makes no sense to me, but I am easily confused. That would set the pin up higher in the piston requiring a special piston. Are you saying that reducing the piston skirt...

    3 Generation Project

Well that is cool as heck, especially getting to see you install the parts I didn't quite understand. Since it comes with torque boxes, they just may have some that work with factory torque boxes on the convertible.

    69 Dart 440 Convertible

Very nice! Looks like a lot of fun. There is no rush like the one when you are running a car without tags and open headers.:toothy10::D

    3 Generation Project

Cool thread! Can you tell me more about the components in the picture for the chassis stiffening? I am always looking for something to help my convertible, but unfortunately since it has boxed frame rails, nothing out of the box fits that I have found.

My '67 Valiant 100 Big Block 4 Speed Restoration

Great job and nice car! I saw a set of used 5215 Hooker FW headers in the last couple days, but don't remember where. Might have been Moparts, but they were very nice and they were not cheap.

    67 Dart Post Project

I just read the whole thread, as had missed it somehow. Nice work, this is going to be a very special car!
