Every mopar in the 60's I have seen was blacked out in the factory., regardless of model. my 65 thru 77 models, plymouth dodge and Chrysler are original and all are painted black. it had something to do with the Manufacturer being told the reflection could be a distraction in the rear view...

definitely flat blacked out. Dodge did not want to see the color behind the grille. no real pattern, just sprayed until the color was gone.

Look on the fender tag, it will also have the stripe choice, I don't see a code in the book for a delete, hough. 'll keep looking.

look for the code 317 for white. back is 310, red is 314. That is all my car book shows as available. also ff1 would be light mist green, and GG1 is avocado. Yours looks to be the mist, at least in the pictures.

all 69's had a vin# on the passenger side by the mount. If you don't have the original engine, it doesn't matter. It is very unwise to grind down a vin# to pass it off as original. it is very Illegal. all 69 cudas had an HP stamp. I have two and both are stamped HP. My 68 and 69 dart 383's are...
