Darter6 is right. Find a good manual for the car or one that is motor specific. Replacing the timing chain and reassembly should be easy, its already apart and the chain and gears should slide off once you remove the bolt at the center of the large gear.

By the looks of it, there seems to be quite a lot of slop in the chain. It would be a good idea to change it. I'm pretty sure you can get get a timing chain kit (chain and gears) from you local auto parts store for less than $30.

If I'm not mistaken, the industrial slants were a little more beefy. But it seems like your going to have to pay for the free one in any case, unless you get the tranny with it.

Very true. Never cleaned the gas tank in my Dad's 64 Valiant and it still ran like a top even with a dirty filter and bad gas. It never stopped.....until it jumped timing haha.

It would be nice if I could get a super six intake for it but at the current prices I have seen it would be better to just get a clifford four barrel intake and call it a day.
