best sealing valve cover gasket on the market?

Trudy, I appreciate the heads up. I learned a long time ago to stay away from cork. I will go with #1611's. I know this seemed like a noob question but I thought I would ask what y'all ran and go with that.

best sealing valve cover gasket on the market?

I can only seem to find two or three options for full rubber. Fel-pro #1611 rubber Fel-pro #1612 rubber coated fiber Moroso #93055 Perm Align rubber coated steel The Moroso are pretty salty but I do think rubber coated steel is the best option.

best sealing valve cover gasket on the market?

Hi, swapping the black MP covers for a set of polished aluminum on my built lil 440 and I want to use a good sealing gasket now while its on the stand instead of it leaking down the road in the tight little fish. I have a set of Mr. Gasket 5877 hanging on the wall but I wasn't sure about them as...

What oil pan with this combo?

Trying to look over pans its almost identical to a Moroso #20760. If I am not mistaken the previous owner added some metal at the bottom to protect from scrapes. Anyone out there running a moroso pan with a DC big block K? Thanks

What oil pan with this combo?

Hi, I am close to getting my car back from the body shop. I will be swapping a 440 in it. I have a Direct connection K. The motor currently has an deep aftermarket pan (Mopar or similar) on it. I purchased a 187 pan previously but would love to use the deeper pan possible. Can someone please let...

Great pics guys. I think I am going to go with a TTI bar and a Brewers bar mount. A little trimming and try it. Thank you for posting:)

    Setup for a 440 4spd in my 67 Fish

The reason I asked about the bell was I started to wonder if different bells had the ball stud mount hole in a slightly different location. Hence creating a slightly different angle for the z-bar and creating alignment issues.

    Setup for a 440 4spd in my 67 Fish

The plan is to mount everything together then lower the car down over it all.

    Setup for a 440 4spd in my 67 Fish

Swede, what bell are you using? I see you totally mocked up everything out of the car. I too want to go that route. Did you notice if you had any alignment issues once installed?

    Setup for a 440 4spd in my 67 Fish

Swed, thanks for the photo and buyers perspective on the TTI linkage. According to TTI's instructions the mount needs to have one side ground down for clearance. I see that's what you circled. Other than that one modification did the alignment of z-bar work out nicely? If so I will order the...

    Setup for a 440 4spd in my 67 Fish

Mr. Lusk I emailed and discussed with Wayne @ Brewer's to ask what one they would recommend. He flat out stated they do not have one that will work with TTI headers. He stated that TTI makes one to use. But I have heard people complain it doesn't fit correctly.

    Setup for a 440 4spd in my 67 Fish

Hi am currently having body work and paint being done on my 67. Once I get it back I will be putting it back together. Here are a list of items that I have already stock piled to swap a 440 into a 67 4spd fish. 1. 372 Bell 2. TTI 1 3/4 headers 3. DC spool type K-member 4. mini starter 5. MP...

    swapping a 440 into a a body

I have met Bucky and had him (well his workers) do two insurance repairs on everyday cars. Very nice but I chose to go with a gentleman (along with his wife and son) who have done dozens of B and E restorations. G and D restorations only does excellent work and the quality shows. One of his...

    swapping a 440 into a a body

I didn't want to go that route. Had them in another car and always had tire rubbing issues. Would be fine for a drag car but not for a street car. At least my opinion.

    swapping a 440 into a a body

Guys I went another route. I bought a DC spool type K. I have TTI 1 3/4" headers but all I see are automatics in threads. I am building a 4spd car. I found a 372 bell to fit my tranny to a BB but am unsure of why some people can use a TTI z-bar and why others seem to have clearance issues. Any...

    differences in K-members

Kenny I am in luck than because I already bought the Shumacher mounts and torque strap kit. Plus a set of 1 3/4 TTI headers. Kenny I have to say I believe you are the first person I have talked to that preferred the biscuit style mounts. Being the motor I am installing in this Barracuda is...

    differences in K-members

I guess not knowing the difference from a 67 and 68/up idler arm I am at a stand still. I don't understand what you mean when you say " the DC K will take any steering component from any other 67-76 A-body except the 67 idler arm". Do you mean the 67 steering arm will not be a direct bolt on to...

    differences in K-members

Jim I am still a little confused. First, If I am lucky enough to find a DC (spool type) K will I have to do any mods to my steering setup that is currently on my car? I thought it would be a simple swap to go from my small block K to the DC K. Second, if I do find a DC (spool type) K cant I...

    differences in K-members

Sounds like I may just use what I have with the Shumacher kit. I don't want to mess with changing the idler by switching the K with a newer version. I may end up welding in the $75 firm feel kit to add strength. If I come across a spool type for sale that's already setup for a BB I may do it but...

    differences in K-members

Hi everyone. Even though I am a diehard Mopar lover I am very new to the A-body world. I have a factory 273/4spd 67 Barracuda that I have started disassembly to have body/paint done. I have been buying up goodies to do a 440 swap. The person doing the body/paint has to drop the K-member to put...

Headers or Manifolds for a 67 4spd Cuda

Guys I am a bit confused. I was reading the installation instructions from the TTI website and it reads for installing a set of headers to remove the torsion bars first. I am not understanding why I would need to remove the torsion bars? Also if its true to install the headers on a car with the...

Headers or Manifolds for a 67 4spd Cuda

Well guys I called TTI today and had a good heart to heart. I was told by Mr. Raby that if I use a TTI Z-bar along with a set of the 1 3/4 or 2" headers that I can use them. Will anyone who has used this setup please chime in to let me know how it worked? Thank you to everyone who has already...

Headers or Manifolds for a 67 4spd Cuda

Guys I have no issue with killer small blocks. I just like to be different. I have to ask has anyone ever used the factory A-body 383 manifolds on a 440 in a spd car without clearance issues? Not they are easy to find but it gives me a possible solution. I would love to use headers. But will...
