Mine are painted body color, and I think they look just fine. Anybody that doesn't like it, is more than welcome to pony up the cash for some nice chrome ones. Your money=your way.

I have a friend restoring a roadrunner. It already had quarters replaced when he got it. Was the trunk just painted body color, or was it coated first?

Had mine done, about 4 years ago. Hail repair, some rust repair, soda blasted, primed and painted. This was done by a friend of mine. Cost me a little over $4,000. A regular customer would have been $7,500 at the time. Material, as I understand has gone up, quite a bit since then.

If,and when,I ever get around to doing my Duster,it's going to be red. This might be a thought. I think I like it.

Check with a local glass co. I had a new one put in my '73 Sport. Less than $200 installed,with a new gasket.

Gary,I'm sure glad I sent that picture of my car when it was plain yellow. I really enjoy seeing what you mock up on it. Maybe some others will send you some similar pictures of cars in other colors to play with. I like the billboard look,but I think it would really stand out on a red or blue...

A Duster will look great in any of those colors. My Sport is Top Banana,and the Duster will be Rallye Red. If I do another, Sassy Grass.

Well,I went by my Dad's yesterday,and the Duster is still at his house,on the trailer. The guy that owns the shop,and is going to do the work,did come by and fill out a bid sheet on it though. That is some progress. It's on the schedule at least. (Maybe I'll have it back by spring.) At least I...

Buy a stripe kit,(whatever style you want)it should come with instructions. By the way,I'm saving my pennies to put one of those "cheezy" scoops on my Duster. Already have one on my '73 Sport. Have a wing too,just can't decide which car to put it on. :burnout:

Dealer's would do what it took back then to sell a car. Friend of mine bought a chevy p/u back in the 70's,but only after the dealer switched to a GMC grill. (His wife liked the jimmy grill better?) :scratch:
