Yes he builds motors an he has done plenty of porting n polishing of heads with great results. This wont be his first rodeo. He picked up .4 in his chevelle with porting the heads n intake on that car an other people cars with same results.
Id be happy with a 3 to 4 tenths better with just porting n polishing the heads n intake. I believe they have 205/208 valves in the heads already . I seen on a recipts that they replaced the valves in the heads i believe i seen 205 or 208 on the recipts that came with the car/motor. The heads...

I have search and I couldn't find what I was looking for..Around how much will it cost to bore a 340 30-40 over and get everything done. New cam bearing, freeze plugs, hot tanked and do what ever has to be done for a 416ci stroker kit. I might be able to find a complete motor cheaper than I could...
I'am listening I want to get a good camshaft thats will work before 3K rpm. What is the biggest cam with being over cam'd. But anyways I think I might of found a short block Its a 30 over to 40 over 340 with 11.5-12 to 1 pistons with a 610 solid lifter camshaft. It has aluminum rods. I'am not...
The camshaft I'am going with now is a comp cam XE275HL or XE284H. I want a camshaft that has a lope to it.instead of a smooth idle I want low end too. I have 456 gears with a spool and I'am going with a 3500-4000 stall.
I took the heads off and looked at the piston. There flat top pistons with valve releaves and the pistons stops before top of the block....I messured the piston hole and it messers 4 1/8..
Here is a pic of the piston..
Thanks for the links.. I seen where you can but the whole package Cam,lifters, valve springs,Valve locks, valve retainers,Double rollor timing chain, lube, for 459.95 I believe or I can buy the cam, lifters, lube for 211.95 which one would you buy..
My goal is to be in the 7s in the 1/8th.. I'am running a 28x12.50x15 M/T E/T streets on 15x10 weld drag lites. But I have a set of 315x60x15 M/T E/T Drag Radials might be going on it..They are like a 29-29.5x12.4x`15..

My buddy has the tool to remove valve springs. I don't have a spring to push the valve down with one finger. I looked at the valve springs on the 915s i'am gonna put on the 340 and they have double springs on them already..I don't think mopar put double spring on a head from the factory..

thanks alot I'am trying to build a 7s all motor street car in the 1/8.My buddy has a stock crank and I don't know about the rods or pistons but it has a cam/intake/carb and eddy heads with 456s and 3500 stall I believe. It ran 7.22 in the 1/8..
Thanks for the info. When I take the heads off to put my 915 heads on. The piston are flat tops with valve reliefs then they are after market pistons right.a 30 over 340 is 4.07 bore right. Iam gonna find that out to if its 30 over. It would be nice if its 30 over and after market pistons...
Is the air gap a good intake. Ok I will see whats on the cam.
Ya I will see what I have when I start pulling it apart. Ya I'am gonna look at the bearing, I though new bearing would be good instade of leaving the one on it. I'am gonna find out if its 30 over also.
The motor is in my shed is a long block, almost ready to be put in the car and I want to put a new camshaft in it for I know what I have instade of thinking whats in the motor. I got the single plane air gap intake for it and 202/160 915 heads. I was thinking about going 750-850 carb. The motor...
Its a 73 340 I believe it has stock crank, rods, and it has flat top pistons.. It has a air gap intake with spacer with 750-850 carb 202/160 915 heads, Next winter I'am getting a 416 stroker kit. I dont want to buy another camshaft. I'am gonna be using 1.5 rollor rockers..
