10" or 11" Rear Drum Brakes?

1965-1967 Mustang rotors are what you need. I bought Raybestos 6004R rotors from Rock Auto. You need to read the thread about the conversion, you will need some milling done, but the coversion does work great and keeps the factory look. Paul

    What are SBP parts worth?

If you want the just the hubs or everything (hubs, studs, and rotors)...the price is the same. And I do have a possible sale pending the payment on them. Paul

    What are SBP parts worth?

Thanks. Unfortunately it seems all shipping is getting expensive. Paul

    What are SBP parts worth?

Hello Gang, I switched from small bolt pattern wheels to big bolt pattern wheels and will not longer need these items so I was wondering what a fair price for my SBP stuff would be. All items came off a functioning vehicle. 1) a pair of front hubs with new studs and rotors (approximately 1,000...

10" or 11" Rear Drum Brakes?

Thanks, my concern was that the 11" drums might be a bit of over kill for my stock front disc set-up. Most likely I will go with 10" but someone made me a good offer on an 11" drum set-up. In a perfect world I would switch to 17" or 18" wheels but finances will have me sticking with my...

10" or 11" Rear Drum Brakes?

I am switching my Duster over to use large bolt pattern (lbp) wheels from the small bolt pattern (sbp). I am going to keep the Kelsey Hayes front disc brakes but use the Mustang rotors for the bolt pattern. My question switching the rear brakes...should I go with the 10" or 11" b-body drum...

    10" drum source?

What is the going rate for a nice pair of sbp rear drums? My budget is small so I am crunching numbers and debating about swapping to lbp wheels this winter. Mine look to be Chrysler parts and are in great shape. Paul

    Proportioning Valve

No matter where buy it from, I would guess that every new proportioning valve comes from the same supplier. I can't imagine there is enough money to be made that there would be multiple vendors reproducing them. Buy a used one and rebuild it...it's not brain surgery or rocket science...

    Proportioning Valve

The valve you are looking for (BLK250) is machined wrong, so the brake light won't go off (I never try to actually use the brakes with their valve so I don't know if that worked). Bought one...had to go back and exchanged it for another one that didn't work. They gave me the wrong brake lines...

    Proportioning Valve

Be careful with the Inline Tube Proportioning Valve.(and it's really just a distribution block). I bought one from Inline and it was junk, I looked on the internet and found that a high percentage of them were not machined properly and that Inline Tube was still selling them. I ended up...

I bought these brake lines, where do they go?

I recently ordered from Right Stuff and they sent me lines for a 73 with power brakes by mistake (I have a 72)...and those are master cylinder lines for a car with power brakes. Paul

    Combination valve problems

You have a defective combination valve...see if you can return it. I got 2 different ones from Inline Tube and both were defective right out of the box. If you do some research you will find complaints about that. I believe the defective rate was like 25%-33%. They are not machined properly...

    Difference in Distribution Blocks

Be careful with the Inline Tube Proportioning Valve. I bought one from them and it was junk, I looked on the internet and found that a high percentage of them were not machined properly and that Inline Tube was still selling them. I ended up rebuilding the original one that I had already and...

Later Master Cylinder with Kelsey Hayes Brakes?

Cool..thanks for the information, link and the photograph. I have manual brakes and my master cylinder (from a manual brake car) looks just like the one you have on your car. Thanks, Paul

Later Master Cylinder with Kelsey Hayes Brakes?

I am switching to factory front disc brakes on my 1972 Duster from the original drum brakes. I already have a disc brake master cylinder from a 1973 Duster. So I wondered if I could use that with my Kelsey Hayes brake set-up...or do I need to get the correct one? Anyone know the difference...
