Just know that the magnum uses a different intake than an LA engine.

The stock factory rockers are fine with the 1110 springs. I have used a stud/guide kit that allows you to use (cheap) chevy rockers on a magnum head. I have edelbrock heads now that require the same chevy rockers.

I have never heard of or read about a knock sensor on a magnum. I'm currently running a Holley EFI on my 5.9 magnum. Knock detection would be a GREAT thing to have.

Check and make sure ALL of your connections are good, tight, and CLEAN. No rust, corrosion, paint, etc. The ground is usually the problem but any of the connections can cause issues. The regulator could very well be bad even though it's new. That is becoming so common its ridiculous.

The "single roller" kit you listed has the correct style chain for the tensioner. I think those are typically called "silent type" chains. The "double roller" kit is like what I used. Make damn sure you get the correct chain style if your going to use a tensioner. I used a double roller chain with the OE tensioner. It ended up putting plastic pieces through my motor. I have pics at home.

The magnum oil pumps are perfectly fine. Your rear seal oil leak might actually just be the oil sending unit leaking. I've replaced a couple of those on my truck, my dads '94, my grandpa's '96, and my sister's V6 dakota.

You just need a car dipstick. You should be able to get a chrome one from the local auto parts store. I think oreillys had mine in stock, probably a Mr gasket brand or similar.
