Help me pick a clutch for my street/strip Dart- Centerforce Dual Friction Died!

Yes a sintered iron disc will chatter bad on the street because the hotter they get the grabber they get, when driving on the street you have to learn to just let it out do not try to slip it out. Hydraulic clutch linkage actually reacts slower then mechanical linkage, for a street car that...

Help me pick a clutch for my street/strip Dart- Centerforce Dual Friction Died!

Oh and this will really get me in trouble, I recommend an aluminum flywheel because there lighter and helps dissipates heat faster from slipping the clutch.

Help me pick a clutch for my street/strip Dart- Centerforce Dual Friction Died!

First thing I have to now is, what first gear ratio is in that 833? If it anything other than a 3.09 your starting line ratio is to high, you want a first gear ratio x rear gear ratio to come out to 12.0 to 15.0(closer to 15 the better). Right now you are at 9.44 if you have a 2.66 first gear...

    Electric water pump recommendations?

I ran a Meziere electric pump with two 12inch electric fans pulling 2600 cfm for a short time. It was good for about a half hour of cruising, the engine temp would just keep going up till it hit 210 then I would shut it down. Went back to the stock water pump and 16 inch flex fan, the engine...

    pictures of the head gaskets

The gaskets looked about the same as yours, we found that the head bolts had bottomed out in the block. We picked up a set of hardend head stud washers, retorqued the heads with new...

    Roller cam idle RPM

The crossover tube does help at high rpm but it also doesn't restrict oil to the lifters, you can still run hydralic lifters with it . Witch you can't do with the bushings and tubes. So in my thinking there is more oil to the lifters and a better shot at getting more splash oil to the rollers...

    Roller cam idle RPM

Megacab I have run a few roller cams on the street . My currant cam is a bullet .668 lift , I idle it at 1300 to 1400 rpm to keep enough splash oil to the lifters rollers, but I run a 4spd no problems so far. I use 828 comp lifters(solid body)with a cross over oil tube so the lifters get all the...

    Too much cam?

Cam timing changes the power band of the cam retarted moves up higher in the rpm's advanced moves it lower. If it hesitates and then snaps to life I would be look at the excelerator pump cams and shooters, the car lost it's hesitation with 25 degrees of timing and gave you a traction problem...
