They are trying to sell a signature. The one in post for is a true dealer promotional model w/box. It's still listed on the high side for a '71.

The promo is a 1/25 scale made by MPC. Looks like it's in nice condition, and nice color too!

Dealership promo's come assembled, available only from the dealership at the time the car was brand new. In other words, they are as old as the real car. That's why they are collectable and expensive. Kind of like your direct connection collection. You want a model kit.

I have the factory dealership promo of the '73 Duster, but you wouldn't like the price. :) The price you saw was just for the bumper of the promo. I have been collecting the dealership promo's of the mopar muscle cars. Nice display case in my living room

Wish I had the one he bought new around '72 or '73..... 360 4bbl is how he had it set up at the plant. But, I have the 1:25 scale model, which will forever be in my case :)

My wife's Grandpa (passed a few years ago) occasionally put together a model back in his time. He put this old van kit from the early 70's together to look like the Van he bought new in the early 70's. It was sitting on a top shelf in the garage covered with Dust. I cleaned it, and re-glued...

yeah, my first love in model collecting is the original dealership promotional cars. I have the mid 60's to mid 70's mopars. These drag cars are just a "change of thought" for the moment ... LOL.
