I have 215/60-15 tires on 6.5 rally with stock 4.25 backspace that work well on a 69 Dart with 73 up front disc setup and an 8.25 rear to get BBP all around. You may need to get smaller diameter tires. Using one of these online calculators...you can find out what you need, like this one...

wow, amazing that it is resistant to lacquer thinner. Maybe Acetone(not likely to work?) or mineral spirits? Must have a chemical formula that has good bonding strength.

Take the 300 bucks and buy tires! Really, you could use 5 bucks worth of lacquer thinner on a rag like the 1968FormulaS340 said.

Might be the difference in the rear housing, ie: 7 1/4 versus an 8 3/4. Do both cars have the same style pumpkin?

To expand on ok's post, change Darts to all Dodge and Plymouth A bodies in those year ranges.

They also seem to be heavy.

You keep the wheels and tires, I'll take the Dart! Not sure what a fair price would be, but I would think at least 400-650.

Raw or unpolished aluminum...Phosphoric acid. It will clean the metal chemically. It is usually the key ingredient in commercial wheel cleaners.
