Do you put drill a small hole in your thermostat?

That is fine if you pull stat out. But if you drain system for hose or radiator work, the hole will aid refilling.

    Thermocure...

Yes, a clean out with chemical can show leaks that were stopleaked. I had radiator hot tanked at repair shop and it showed up bunch of pinhole leaks. Didn't leak before I sent it there.

    Radiator aftermarket or stock

If you are not doing a back to original restoration, go to aluminum. They are cheaper and more efficient. Champion makes good one, cc374 for 26" wide.

Time to buy a radiator for my 440 Dart

I bought the Champion CC374 radiator for my 74 Duster w small block. The car had 22" radiator original, and Champ fits in the opening OK. There are 3 rows of tubes on each side that are covered by front sheetmetal, but I had a 26" mopar rad in there before and it cooled great with 500 hp...

    Replacement mech fan

Thanks a lot for advice. Will get the Hayden then. It should work w stock clutch. Revised info: I got ready to order and in review of Hayden someone said it had warning of 4000 rpm limit and then flexalite had that warning on their website for same size fan. Maybe they are just covering...

    Replacement mech fan

I have 7 blade 18" mech fan with thermo clutch, and fan part number #2863216 from my 72 340 Challenger. I was using it on my Duster w 408 and found a crack in a blade so need a replacement fan. I find two aftermarket fans available and I don't need number match in the moded Duster. Hayden 3618...

    CLR And Overheating

Do you think you might get cold on the way? Seriously though, you might be inviting trouble. To go on the road with that mix could cause problems. Sometimes cleaning out the gunk causes leaks to develop. Radiators and heater cores sometimes have stop leak in them and cleaning them out shows...

    Clearance Issue/overheating

If you use a double fan electric fan unit that should give a little more room in the middle where water pump goes.

26 inch radiator in a duster?

If you want a 26 inch mopar radiatior,, look for a pickup. I got a 26" 2 row rad from unknown year Dodge pickup. It fit in good just had to drill 2 new holes for frame. It cools my 408 Duster really good. Even put it in a parade and just got to 210 at end. Didn't even use shroud.

    recomended Radiator?

I am running a Dodge pickup radiator 26" wide. I don't know year of truck it was just a shell left. It is a 2 row but keeps engine cool in 100 degrees at drag track. And that was without a shroud. It fit fine just had to drill a few new bolt holes.

    Running Hot on the Highway

OK can I ask a dumb question. From the pictures of the water pumps, unless there is reverse image, it looks like a driver side lower hose. Is that right? If that is the case, then are the belts driving the water pump the correct way?
